Thanks for all the replies. I might have had a little to drink making this thread forgetting that I made it.

I ended up buying a Mutation X V2 clone, wire and cotton.

The leaking is coming from the top and bottom of the ring that allows you to adjust the airflow. Generally when you push it up and down slightly you can see it being squeezed out.

I've used horizontal, vertical and the rebuildable, had leaking issue with all of them. I am in Minnesota so we do have some pretty volatile temperature changes. It's August right now and I can see my breath outside, but can be 85f the next day.

The leaking is at it worse when I put it in my pocket and take it to work with me. At home it may leak a tiny bit but that's not an issue.

turn it upside down to put in pocket.

heat will build up pressure inside the tank and if it's upright, the pressure pushes liquid to the coil, then gravity does the rest.

Got a Mutation X V2 clone in the mail today, looks awsome, fits the subox mini perfectly. I used the premade coils and comes out at .3 ohms according to the subox, goal is about .3-.4 so that's great.

Leaking issues are gone... unless I overfill it which has happened already. Get about 5ish big lung hits before I need to redrip which is nice.

Very happy with it. Will use the subtank mini for when I'm at home and the rda for when I need to toss it in my pocket.

yeah i was having trouble with doing it the way you were. It would work great for a bit, then dry hits. I think i was pushing the wicks down in a U-shape and it just wasn't wicking well. Now it's been great.

Listen to all of this guy's posts. It is a bit of an art and takes some practice but he is giving you the right info to get it right.
