RDA not threading with mech mod fix?

Hello everybody
So recently I ordered an m16 clone and a quasar rda clone off of fasttech, and when it arrived today in the mail i was going to screw the quasar down and it would catch onto the threads. It still fires and makes vapor and whatnot if i just hold the quasar down into the 510 center pin but i have to hold down onto it and half the time it doesnt even fire because its not screwed in. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem and if theres a quick fix to it? Im ordering a new rda sometime tomorrrow but im just looking for something to hold me back in the meantime so that i can use it. thanks

Having to hold it down every time can be dangerous. You could maybe try taping around the threads of the RDA and bulking it up then screwing it in. A very short term fix...

is the tape safe? What you said to do worked I wrapped tape around the quasar 510 connection and screwed it in but im wonderign if the tape covering the entire 510 maybe flammable? Or is it safe fora short time?
