i've been reading this site for a long time, with this sites help i got a MVP 2.0 with kanger mini pro tanks and aerotank bases for my first "kit", within a month i was rebuilding the coils of it and drilled out the air holes, soon after i got a IPV2 50w with a quasar clone, all with the help of reading these boards. If i just got some cartos on an ego i likely would have walked away and never turned back, so first i wanted to say thanks for helping pointing me in the right direction to be vaping over a year ago and sorry for never saying hi then, don't worry this long post well make up for a year of not posting.
.
now ive decided due to how fast the IPV dies and that its my only gear its time to get new box and RDA and put these 2 as backups, i've already decided based on how happy ive been with the IPV and how good the new yihi chip looks im going to get the IPV4..
now finding the right RDA seems harder than it was when i got the quasar simply due to there being so many on the market, and how many features i want.
i want both better flavor and bigger clouds than the quasar, but i care more about flavor than clouds.
i dont want bottom air fed or vertical coils, they seem too picky with there build too hard to build (especially if i build for the temp control)and too easy to overdrip
i want a bigger juice well on my RDA the quasar has almost 0 "juice well" and could hold max 7 drops before leaking crazy, i don't expect a tank under my coils but 10 drops or more would be nice.
i really want wide bore mouth wither its stock or after market cap IDC but the normal 510 is just way too narrow.
i really want duel center post holes for making duel builds easy.
it seems the biggest issue is finding one with as many features i want that doesn't compromise flavor completely in the name of blowing huge clouds.
i am going to be buying a clone but i intend to buy the real one once i am happy with the clone and have the money for it, so any features that are not in the clone but in the OG is fine, but nice to point out if you know of them.
the short small RDAs like the derringer seem nice, but it seems it would spit and pop a lot and be tricky to build.

list of wanted features (*means needed) in order of desire
*better flavor than quasar (always on the hunt for better flavor)
*ultra wide bore mouth piece
better clouds than quasar
better juice well
duel hole center post
hex screws
large easy to work on deck

PS: has any one seen a wide bore top for the quasar every one i come across seems to be too big to fit it.
PSS: ive also decided not to list any modals ive done research on (besides the derringer but only as an example of style) as it often narrows the topic to those and quickly turns to a X vs Y debate, plus i would love to hear about ones i never heard about.

You literally just described the new twisted messes rda to a T. It's in the pre-order phase now though, and is a little more expensive than clone pricing. But it's the only RDA that i know of that fits all of your criteria. Good luck on your quest!

i just did some research on twisted messes and it looks really nice, this is the second RDA made by a company that made the El Cabron, and that seems to get good reviews and the twisted messes looks much better, there are also clones of the El Cabron so now im looking at both of those. im also looking at the Royal Hunter and the mutation x, but it seems the muta doesn't get decent flavor tell 50+ watts.
i picked the quasar over the steamboat back when i got the quasar, cant remember why but had to be a good reason, i think the quasar was suppose to get better flavor (and i feel it does get really good flavor with the right build and not flooded)

If the Twisted Messes RDA is anything like the ElCabron the it will be amazing I have the Elcabron and I love it the 3mm post hole basically means I can put whatever I want in there and not have a problem and the 7mm juice well practically give me a small tank underneath lol
hope this helps

Best Wishes :toast:

well compared to the price of an authentic quasar or other CI product, i can get both a twisted messes and a royal hunter authentic. and they both look really good. the twisted looks soo much better with its tighter size for better flavor and duel hole block i think its worth waiting for over the El cabron. i think i might have to get both and try them next to each other, there just isn't enough reviews on ether about flavor especially since they are both "cloud" models but that seems to be almost everything these days and thus gets some of the best features that i want. and if the quasar still taste better than both ill get a derringer clone and likely love all 3 for different days and juices.

The Twisted Messes RDA sure does look sweet. I'm a bit concerned that a company just kinda came to him and said, "Can we use your name on our RDA?" I wonder how much of actual development/design TM had himself. It's integral that he actually tried the finished product before slapping his name on it, and I'm a cynic, so.

Friend recently got a Derringer clone and I'm thoroughly impressed. Despite its TINY size, very deep juice well (rivals the Doge), and for a clone it's very nice quality.

I've been meaning to scoop an Aeolus, which is said to be a truly "leak-proof" RDA. If you look at its design, you'll see that it's pretty damn hard to make it leak. The clouds are nice, and flavor is also quite nice. Worth checking out for sure (the clones seem to be decent quality, but the authentics aren't too overpriced).

I've looked at the Aeolus looks great, but i see at least 1 grounds for improvement, a square center post to fix the spinning issue. so if i can see it get better i'm sure they can too and more, so i'm expecting a v2 soon that well be even better so i'm thinking of waiting on that one, but it looks amazing and I've been thinking of that top down air idea my self for a few months now.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to go from having 1 for a while to having a half dozen pretty fast lol

as for twisted messes I'm hoping it was based on his feedback of the el cabron, seeing as he owns one that helps. if he didn't have there first i would have more doubts.

My Aeolus has never spun however in Grimm Greens review, he says to just tighten the pin and it's fixed if you have an issue.

I will also say it's the best vape I've ever experienced.
