hey everyone, i'm not sure if im asking this question in the right spot.. and if not i'm sorry. I'm just getting into drippers (ordered a Velocity Clone) and was wondering if i can use it with my coolfire 4? It can fire down to .3ohms so will i be good with the Cool Fire 4 or should i get a new mod? i was looking into getting a new mod anyway, so any tips on a good regulated mod for Rdas? Under $50? any help would be great gys. And again i', sorry if i asked this in the wrong place, if i did could you point me in the right direction please

At 0.3Ω... as long as you're using 24 gauge or thinner for a dual parallel coil, or 20 gauge or thinner for a single coil -- you'll be able to run a broad range of "heat flux" (perceived "temperature" of the vapor) from mid 100 mW/mm² to well over 400 mW/mm².

Click the first (and second, if you like) sigline hyperlinks below for more information on heat flux and other aspects of using Steam Engine... to produce user preference, optimal dripper builds.

I don't know why but those links won't open up for me. Sorry bout all the questions, just wondering now what kinda wire is the best for coils? I noticed a lot of people just used regular kanthal, but then there nichrome or whatever its called and many others. I wanna do dual coils on my velocity, so what would be the best kind/brand?

Click on my avatar and go to my blogs... all my articles are there.

Depends on what you think is important... and what's just bein' fancy. I'm a flavor vapist who seldom goes below 0.3Ω.

I use Sandvik Kanthal A-1, direct from Temco in gauges 22 through 28. My most commonly used gauges are 24 & 26, with 24 working nicely for single coils, and 26 does well for dual parallel coils... at the net resistances I build for.
