Hello! im sorry to hear about your frustrating circumstance.

While i do not own a Stingray clone, I had a kayfun decide to lock itself ontop of my nemesis. I have futzed with the stingray a bit tho. (didnt take anything apart too far) when my kayfun got stuck to the nemmy, i backed the 510 pin out, made no difference. was still stuck like chuck. Anyways. My cronus's floating 510 can just be pulled out with your fingers. But back to the point.

I tried everything to get the kayfun off, what i had to do was break the rba all the down to a bare deck and take the mech apart as far as i could, i left the top half of the battery tube on seeing as i was running in 18650 mode. From working on classics and things as a mechanic for 3 years i learned to not mar things up with pliers and wrenches etc by putting multiple plys of thin rags between the tools and bolts i needed to get off and keep them pretty. The chrome and powder coated and brushed items etc.

I grabbed my battery tube with my hand put the pliers to section of the attty i would damage the least and if it did become damaged it would be fixable or not affect atty performance, and twist with your hand holding the pliers in one spot acting like a vice.

Now if that doesnt work, I have taken my set of picks and grabbed the smallest one and slid it down the air hold making sure not to bottom out or anything, make sure you apply pressure the wall of the air hole and nothing else seeing as the wall of the airhole normally is surrounded by thicker stainless steal. in your case seeing as you are using a the TOBH you should have the two "walls" for adjustable airflow.

Pad the edges of those walls (like discussed above) and use a pick or something of the sort as a breaker bar. Be careful and use the proper items to avoid mishaping those walls that stick up as it could possibly change the caps ability to fit snug. IF you do a bit of sandpaper and some time and care should clear that right up.

Sorry for the lengthy post i figured id try to explain in detail.

^^^^^^

Lol I know it takes a skilled gentle touch but if you get the hang of it everything comes out seemingly untouched.
Rubber tip plier sleeves i got from my snap on guy are fantastic! :D

I will say it is last resorts but tools are our friends. using a pick as a breaker bar is great, also can be rubber sleeved. come on now we are all the tinkering folks, tools are the best :p there is a tool for everyjob. no matter what how gentle you must be.

Ill stop, forget it.

Did it get stuck while sub-ohm vaping? If so, it's probably from the heat.

Throw it in the fridge or freezer (with the battery taken out of course) and that will help loosen everything up.

I hope that works!!

Thanks for the replies everyone

I have been sub ohming at .6 or .7.

Is there any way to prevent this?

I had to use two pliers to get them unstuck. I had to remove the top cap. This morning the top cap sliced my index and thumb pretty bad trying to twist them apart.

Not to be a smart a.. but cleaner threads found on real mods will help.

Try some noalox, just a tiny bit on the threads. I know some people do not like putting it on attys because it is close to your mouth but on the connecter seems OK to me.

I use the noalox on all my mods and it makes all the threads feel nicer, I do own clones too, and it helps improve conductivity.
