Whats the trick with the chimney?
I believe its on correct. When ever I try to leave tails in the channels id have super hard time getting chimney on top ..eventually ended up stripping the threads on my first Orchid v2 .

The build was 1.2 ohms...2.4 ohms for each coil on 30g...should be about 11 wraps each there. Looks like 12 but the ends are half wraps.

I have it build at .85 now...tore that build down and attempted to build nickel on it but the post screws keep snapping my legs and I got frustrated and built it on Kanthal instead....vapes nice now...actually it did before too...here's how they fired on the first build... topglowingorchid.jpg

By the way...everyone has their way to wick...on a kayfun I do keep the wick out of the channels...not on the orchid. I find it too poppy unless I feed the wick up the channels..you can cut the ends at an angle so they are slender and juiced up they tuck in just fine and don't get in the way of the threading...

To each their own as I said. As to the chimney, I have found, wick or no it can get just a little bit cross-threaded...causing leaks.

Since you just re-did the orings, I would give them another look and make sure they are in just right.
