I have a Tobh clone running a dual coil at .6 ohm sometimes it fires sometimes it doesn't I have built a few different coils and still it works for 10 or so hits and then bam nothing and then after a while it works once or twice.any suggestions on what it could be?

What kind of device are you using? Are the contacts making a good connection? And definitely, definitely, definitely make sure to check for shorts.
I'm using a mechanical,Manhattan clone,there are definitely no shorts I'll have to check the contacts.sorry I'm new to the world of rdas
No need to be sorry. Mods are just a tube with the battery though, so if it's not firing something is not making contact somewhere if there are no shorts.

Sounds like the leads of your coils are not secure. Re-tighten when you get a chance.
Use the rda on the vamo to get more experience troubleshooting it.
Chances are it's a center pin issue I'd imagine but your mech mod can't tell you because it doesn't have a screen.
Check the screws on all three posts. Make sure they are snug, but not too tight. Too tight, and you run the risk of cutting the wires off.
If you did tighten it really hard earlier, make sure you didn't clilp the wires in the posts. It might still fire occasionally because the wick is holding it in place.
If this doesn't fix it, check the positive pin on the underside of your atty. Is it loose? Does it spin? You might have mores issues if this is the case.
If this doesn't fix it, is your manhattan set up properly? Did you use the right sized spacing pins top and bottom? Are your threads clean? Are your contacts clean?
If none of this helps, charge your battery.
I can't think of much else. I have a Tobh on a 4nine clone, and this thing is a nightmare to maintain. And yes, I am still all manners of insane for running this set up at 0.14 ohms.

I agree with Jax... either that, or the "floating pin" on the positive side isn't adjusted properly. The contact point between the mod and the RDA may be close but not solid, so you're getting intermittent connection there.

Also good points... why are you having so much trouble maintaining yours though? I've got a Tobh on a Knight mod clone... currently at 0.16 ohms with modified airflow holes and a Cherry Vapes cloudchaser tip... Only problem I have is sucking the juice out of the well too fast and having to drip more often that I'd like....
When you first put the coil in, and tighten down the post, when you activate the coil and the rda gets hot, the screws can become loose.
Fire the coil after building, then tighten the screws some more.

Kinda like head bolts on a car... torque them to spec... drive it, then re-torque.... heat changes things...

I've got a Tobh on a Knight mod clone... currently at 0.16 ohms with modified airflow holes and a Cherry Vapes cloudchaser tip... Only problem I have is sucking the juice out of the well too fast and having to drip more often that I'd like....
For starters, it's hard to keep copper clean. And with a 4nine, where everything that needs to function is friction fit, the contact points tarnish very, very quickly. The switch in particular, if not covered in finger gunk after a day of vaping, will be coated in copper oxide, leading to hot buttons and hot mods with no vapour. The Tobh itself is not high maintenance, it's everything that keeps the Tobh happy that's high maintenance. I have a chuff enuff drip top cap on my tobh. I don't have any issues sucking juice out. Maybe the bore is just too wide.

Hmmmm.... my Knight mod is copper, and I haven't had a whole lot of trouble with corrosion... I clean it about once a week. I have a copper Tobh on it, and it tarnishes way faster than the Knight does...
LOL how wide is your bore? I opened up the bore on the stock top cap and put in a counter-sink so that the Cherry Vapes tip would sit flush... that thing has a HUGE bore

My tip is a .3" bore.... what did you do for the intake airholes?

I finally found a picture. I edited it into the previous post.
The issue with the copper is the friction fit parts, like the switch. As it rubs and wears, the clear coat comes off, and the raw copper tarnishes too fast.
It has about as much bore as a Volvo 12L 8 cylinder turbodiesel.

Mine are 4-1/2 wrap 24ga dual parallels around a 3/32" drill bit, single strand methodology because I didn't bore out my post holes.

Currently... single strand 26g Nichrome 60... 5/4 wrap on a 1.6mm precision screwdriver. Haven't bored out my post holes yet either (haven't needed to), but I'll sometimes do a twisted 2-strand of 28g Kanthal.
I also wick with rayon (cellucotton)... I get much better performance that I ever got out of cotton.

I've yet to experiment with rayon. Any good sources for that stuff? I've just been using organic cotton. Cheap and abundant.
I feel evil every time someone at my local coffee shop hangout spot sees the clouds and wants to see my vape. People who know vaping stare at it and are like, "YOU WOT M8?" I'm like, y'know, pushing 126+ watts on a regular basis... Most of those guys and gals on vamos and ego's are like, 5 watts are plenty, and i'm like, nah. *fat plumes waft across the parking lot*
