Does an rda ever wear out? I have a couple of Tobeco Velocity 1:1 clones that I've been using for about three years. One of them seems to be dying on me. Seems no mtter how I wick it or how many watts I'm using, vapor production and flavor have both dropped. I have some cheap Velocity coming from FT (which I don't hold a lot of hope for being any good), but does anyone have any constructive suggestions for fixing this problem?

Are the o-rings worn? Did you try cleaning the 510 pin contact?

I agree with Letitia, for a performance drop, the only thing that makes sense is the 510 is dirty/corroded, or it is loose not making a solid connection with the post. I would break it down to it's base components, give it a good scrub, (let it dry before putting it back together) and giving it another shot and see if it still has the issue.

Everything is clean and well-connected. Could possibly be the o-rings, but I've used up the supply that came with the RDAs and haven't been able to find any that fit correctly. Hoping that I might be able to use the o-rings from the replacement RDAs I ordered to repair the ones I have.

Take the o-rings to hardware store, they'll have calipers to measure what size you need, then you can order some. I think @Marc411 has a good link for ordering o-rings (maybe it's been awhile since the post).

Hi,
I have had grub screws wear down and the heads of screws strip out, but they, along with o-rings, are consumable parts.
In the days of old...many china sourced products would be chrome over soft brass. Those products had a limited lifespan. (Triangle RDA, I look at you)

I would take the troublesome RDA to bits and rebuild with spare parts/o-rings/grubs.
If it still didn't play nice, into the back-up box it goes.

Good luck
I
