Hi I've just purchased an authentic rdna 40 if I screw my tank off and screw it back on it reads 0.00 ohms till I press the fire button is this normal thanks

Yes. Since you removed your device it takes a reading of the resistance when first fired. Which would trigger a new coil screen if the resistance was different to what was registered prior.

Thought it only asked if it was new coil if it was nickel wire cause I took the 1.2 ohm off and put 0.5 standard occ coil and it didn't ask if it was a new coil also if u leave it alone for like a our if u press the fire button does any one else's say evolve rdna 40 before the normal screen comes on or is my device turning it self off cheers for any help

The way I understand it, it will ask about a new coil anytime it's confused, but if it knows if it's new or the same it doesn't ask.

Mine says Evolv DNA 40 when I hit fire after it has been off a while. Evolv makes the DNA40 chip inside.

It goes into sleep mode after an hour, and will display the "Evolv DNA40" splash screen upon waking it up.

I'm really on the fence on buying the rdna 40 or just putting an authentic chip in an existing box mod. How are you liking yours so far?

I love mine haven't tried the temp coils yet waiting for them to be delivered but on my istick 30w the first few draws at 16w would rip my throut to bits and make me cough a lung up for the first few hits but the rdna at 18w is a much smother vape o coughing for me in a morning anymore

The DNA40 goes to sleep when the display turns off. After 5 minutes of sleeping it shuts off. This is why you see the boot splash when firing it again after more than 5 minutes of no use.

Carnage, I had a Cana from Cloupor and replaced the chip with a DNA40 after they came out. I have had a display glitch.with it a couple of times but nothing that kept it from firing or that didn't go back to normal after the display turned off. The newer DNA40 chips don't have the display issue as they have fixed it. I have built 3 more boxes with the newer chips since the first one I rebuilt and none of them have issues. I love the DNA40 and the temp sensor is an added bonus.

Well proper ...... off got the temp coils and my screen has gone all funny got the v2 cause thought they had sorted it out with the big screen but no £150 for it to do that is a joke

Yea normal. Also if using nickel make sure to put it on the mod cold,and to register it as a new atty. That way it'll read your build correctly and accurately.
