I had to remove the top cap and the circuit board inside my Provari to reposition the LCD window...it wasn't centered correctly. The board had been glued down in the top two corners to the inside of the tube, obviously I had to remove the glue to get the board out. Would I need a glue gun to secure it back in? The tube has slots that the board slides into but it still wobbles a bit, making the LCD unit move and not stay centered behind the window. I'm assuming a glue gun is what I need? If so what kind do I want to get? I've never used one before.

Thanks!

P.S. If I can use anything easier than having to purchase a glue gun I would rather go that route. I have the device back together and using it and everything is fine, but obviuosly I want to resecure it because of the slight wobbling with the board...especially when dropping a battery in the unit it kinda nudges the board toward the top cap.

I wouldn't use J-B Weld or an epoxy on it, just in case you need to have it worked on in the future. The red/black/blue RTV sealant (silicone) can be removed in the future.
That said, high-temp hot glue is really the way to go. Factory-style ya know. :D

I was just thinking that same thing Count... So which should I use? The silicone or glue?

i would just stick to a glue gun you can get them just about anywhere i think walmart has them for like $5 i even have one i got from the dollar store that has worked for over 5 years now and it even came with a pack of glue sticks lol.
i would avoid using glues most are toxic and while the provari has a sealed connector i would still avoid using anything toxic in mine.

Doesn't a glue gun use glue?

well technically no its a Hot melt adhesive (HMA) its basically a wax, plastic blend that when is heated turns soft and sticky and hardens at room temperatures and is non toxic, where as most glues use a chemical reaction to air to dry, harden.
tho alot of glues are fairly safe once fully hardened.
but in honestly you are probably going to spend about the same ether way and considering provari decided to use it in there device it couldn't hurt to do the same:)

OK so got everything back together and now of course I have a new problem lol...some prints got on the inside of the plastic window and I'll be damned if I'm taking this off again. Do the q-tips on provapes website reach between the screen cover and the actual screen itself so you can wipe over the screen at all? I want to know before I buy them, I can't find any long q-tips locally or any that would be thin enough to fit between the screen cover and the screen itself.

Cleaning Kit

Thanks!

The long q-tips should reach from the bottom cap to the window and be able to squeeze between the LCD and the window.

ProVape actually recommends taking a cap full of 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol, pouring it into the bottom cap, screw the battery cover on, cover the vent hole, and shake it up.

Sounds crazy huh :) That may be all you need to do to clean off that window, and give your circuit board a nice rinse off as well.

As long as you allow it to dry thoroughly, the alcohol won't hurt the electronics at all.
