Hello, everyone-

I've gotten into an expensive habit of throwing out very good wicks after having newish wicks in them when I want to try a different flavor. I keep the old one in (for example, I had a strawnilla in the wick, wanted CB, but couldn't taste it after 30 minutes of vaping, so I put it up).

Is it ok to use that strawnilla wick again when I want strawnilla, or will it go bad? Remember I'm using the cheap wicks for the Aspire or Silver Bullet.

Thanks for any info you can provide.

You can reuse them. You can also clean them by running them under hot water and letting them dry for a day or two. Faster cleaning can be had with Vodka, but not everyone wants that sort of thing in their house.

Back when I used disposable coils I would clean them after every tank. A minute or so of running warm/hot water over them, and then into a small bowl with lid filled with pure grain alcohol for an hour or two. Lay them on some paper towels to dry and then do a dry burn on the coil before it's next use. I had good luck with that method and got good life out of the coils and wicks. Hope this helps

I've heard tale that some use a coffee maker. Toss them in the basket and run 10-12 cups of plain water through.
I think I read that in the Cleromizor Sub an eon ago. old.gif

Thank you for the replies, everyone!

I got so discouraged with 2 of them I just threw them out without checking this board first. Darn it!!! I could NOT get the strawberry taste out of the tank to save my life so I broke my rule and bought some grain alcohol and took the whole thing apart, threw the wick away, and I'm letting the actual clearomizer sit in the grain alcohol for a little bit. From reading this thread I'll let it sit for an hour or two and take it out and put on a paper towel to dry. I'm not going to dig into that strawberry again until it's good and steeped.

I'll have hubby promptly hide the alcohol away so I'm not tempted :) and goodness knows I don't want to drink that strawberry with PG/VG in it... YUCK! I'll break it out for cleaning only.

Thanks so much for the replies. I appreciate it so much.

xoxo,
Dani

You can always cut your PGA with 20% Isopropyl alcohol and taint it. It will hurt you if you drink it, but it won't kill you. Won't damage your coils either...
