Hey guys, I'm kind of a Nicoticket noob (awaiting my third purple bag), but I've been vaping for several years. Was doing DIY juice for a year or so, but my first taste of CB ended all that :vapor:.

Anyhow, I've been reading a lot of threads here and it's really cool how you guys have such a friendly "mini-community" here. I'm in vaping heaven now, due to all these amazing juices, so I feel like I owe you guys something, lol (or at least Clark :p).

In case anyone hasn't seen the rayon thread in the RBA sub-forum, I wanted to let you guys know that I've had an AMAZING experience with it, and that it works particularly well with NT's juices. Rayon transfers sweetness like no other wick out there, and obviously many of us here have a pretty big sweet tooth. What goes hand-in-hand with sweet juice? Coil gunking! With rayon, you can go MUCH longer between re-wicks, I'm talking 3 to 4 TIMES as many tanks!!!

Besides these two advantages that NT may particularly be interested in, there are others. Fluid wicks MUCH faster than cotton (really shines in a kayfun). Better, cleaner flavor, right from the start (no break in like cotton). Easier to work with (wicks thin out easily by pulling on opposite sides). Cheaper, especially when compared to "designer" cotton like Koh Gen Doh (lifetime supply will run you $12). Dry hits come on much slower than cotton; there's way more of a warning... and if you actually do mange to get a dry hit, it's not nearly as nasty as cotton.

If you have any safety concerns, rest assured there's been plenty of research by some of the best and brightest on ECF, and everything checks out. The only drawback I can think of is that you may be spending even more $$$ at NT, cuz this stuff will make you never wanna put down your PV, as well as going back and trying all your old flavors again :vapor:

If you'd like to try it out, google Sally Beauty Supply (chances are there's one within a few miles of you) and pick up a box of Graham Cellucotton beauty coil 100% Rayon. I can almost guarantee you won't be sorry you did.

Besides, has a guy named Clark (that's me) ever led you wrong? :D :2cool:

Thank you for the great info!~ We've had a rather lengthy ongoing conversation about wicking material. It seems like there are more options than ever. I'm going to try this stuff on your reccomendation - I will definitely report back with regard to findings. Now, I need more advice... how to I ensure all of my friends don't find out I was within 100 yards of Sally Beauty Supply? ;)

So true brother! Although Rayon is perfect for EVERYTHING, in my experience. Hell I'm a chaser of the clouds, that really doesn't care much about flavor (I like a light flavor), and I still love Rayon, because it's the fastest wick on the planet at this point in time, and it's a little tougher than cotton. (Not to mention the excellent flavor, or rather lack of flavor interference.)

~I've found Rayon REALLY shines most when your using thick 100% VG liquids, because it sucks the thick fluid up like a hoover, and since VG is inherently a flavor "masker", they are truly made for eachother. It wicks VG like it's PG, and it also enhances the flavor to taste like it's a PG formula!

Read on reddit this am, covers some cons to consider, but also goes into some other general issues about what we use as wicking in general, even cotton has some risks/unknowns...thank you for your info Vic rattlehead , I like to read both pro's and concerns...more info on rayon thread too here on ecf...always good to look at things across the spectrum and be aware of risks/issues of anything

That's the glory of a good push up bra-lol, it's summer who wants rayon stuck to sweaty "girls"??!! Serious note, some people but bleach on it, place it on bathroom caulk for a time period, then remove it to prevent/remove mold/mildew

Okay, now we have a super clean tips/wicking material/weaving thread. YES!!! :headbang:
