No, you don't actually need those.

I use standard coils on my VV.

The 3.2 coils are supposed to give you a full range of power, but no one gets a VV for the low range (i.e. the cold vape), and a standard coil still gives you plenty of range on lower settings.

On the other hand, I wouldn't push a standard coil too high. I don't go above 4.3v, except for a quick test. 4.8v could destroy a coil (nothing tastes better at 4.8v anyways)

I also use standard coils on my VV, I vape it inbetween 3.8 and 4.3 and rarely do I vape at 4.3, I would say 4.0 is my G spot.

To put that in perspective, the non VV battery fully charged puts out 4.2v and drops from there, standard coils are fine for them, so as long at you dont go over 4.3 on the VV it works fine, just remember to allways make sure your nice and wet before vaping.

I'm also using the standard coils with my VV. I haven't gone over 4.3. I'm vaping a 'horny' (non-Halo) as chesty calls it @ 3.3 right now that works with this flavor. But most I vape in the 3.8 to 4.3 range.

It's all about experimentation. The volts you use will vary with the juice. The complex flavors can bring out different aspects with different voltages.

I've got a pack of the 2.6-2.8 ohm coils that I will experiment with while off for the holidays. I started vaping to get off the analogs and now I have a new hobby!
