Yep, the fire button on the battery of my blue VV stays on the entire time when it's on the charger.

I'm wondering if everybodys USB light stays solid red while the blue light flashes every second non-stop for the full 2 hours before going solid blue?? Is that normal or do I have a wonky USB adapter?

As I was watching it charge, the light on the charger went off, and the fire button blinked 6 times. Then it resumed charging. Weird...

Same here. I notice that quite often out of the corner of my eye.

Thanks for the info about your USB blinking every 6-7 seconds. Mine blinks once ever second. Weird.

What both of you are describing is normal.

The VV LED is lit when charging, and goes off when done. As opposed to the normal bats which is opposite, off while charging, and on when charged.

What I think is happening, but no way of checking, is the battery has reached the end of the first charging stage, the bat has reached it's voltage. The LED goes out on the VV. Then the saturation charge takes place, and the charger blinks red/blue. When that stage is done, it goes to solid blue. That's when it's done, not when the bat's LED goes out.

See this article about Li-Ion charging.

That last stage is important, as that gives the long discharge time.
