I feel kinda weird posting this, because I feel like re-wicking should be easy? I got a Mutation X my first rda from a local B&M for my Sig 100. They set up a basic micro coil for me that read as .3 ohms. Its been 3/4 days now, I decided to re-wick and refresh my coil. After hours of watching you tube videos reading through here, and a tips from my friends, I felt confident in doing my own with Cotton Bacon!

yea.....my ego has now been slashed...Can't do it...I did once, I primed it and everything..and it tastes too cotton-y which presumes..I have way too much...
second time..one side is perfect the other side is a bit loose, and too much juice...another hour passes... I slowly got it and then next thing you know the wick gets too skinny..the other one slightly curved the coil...(which I can fix)

anyways...Im just going to pop on my atlantis, any other tip I'm missing?

Ive never tried cotton bacon but it doesn't look very consistent. Have you tried cotton sheets? Like the very popular koh-gen-doh. Its easy to cut strips consistently. It should not make a huge difference if the cotton is slightly too skinny, it will just be very loud, lots of popping. Did you dry burn your coils before rewicking?

no, I might see if can order that the Koh-gen-do

when it was skinny..I felt like the juice was just sitting in the well and not soaked...
yes I did dry burn the coils and ran it under water

It doesn't have to be KGD cotton--it's been so overhyped that it's now impossible to get and the prices are going up. Any Japanese organic cotton pads will do--Labo is much cheaper and just as good.

Rule of thumb with cotton--less is more. Cotton expands when it gets wet and may choke the coil.
