This is HR 2339. They were going after everything.
CALL TO ACTION! - Congress to BAN everything - take action now!

Some juice makers have already started making Unflavored PG/VG/Nic with separate one-shot flavoring the customer mixes themselves.
This isn't perfect but it puts the brakes on just before the cliff.

Got it. I was talking about the White House’s statement on the bill that’s posted above. If you look at the second sentence in the second paragraph, they mention menthol, but don’t mention other flavors. I wonder what that might mean.

It sounds like only menthol and tobacco.

That's because the Trump administration has decided e-cigarettes means closed systems only and that what we use (external battery mods, RTA's, open system tanks) are not electronic cigarettes..

This way they can sound great to the nanny state people when they say we are banning x, without actually banning x for everyone who vapes.

And flavors (using the above definition of an electronic cigarette) excluding menthol are already temporarily banned by this administration.

Sounds like they carved out a safe space for menthol, but not for other flavors.
As someone else mentioned that's because according to this administration's definition all other flavors in E-Cigarettes are already illegal you can only have Menthol or tobacco because their definition of an e-cigarette is a closed pod system. Frankly I don't care how they do it this is a positive scientifically backed statement and it's also attending to the constitutional implications of free speech being targeted.

And if I'm not mistaken if Community leaders are concerned that this menthol cigarettes ban is going to lead to the targeting of African-American smokers...does that mran this bill is actually stating that it would be illegal to possess not just manufacture or sell?

I'm taking this as a positive. Pretty much means HR2339 wont make it past the President's desk. But fear not, the anti's will just re-word this crap and try to push it through again. What we need is to expose the tobacco industry for what they are. They push a product that is WELL documented to kill 500,000 people a year and they do this under the financial protection of the federal government. What I took away from that letter is the President understands that vaping can be a viable alternative to smoking cigarettes. I have always agreed that stricter standards must somehow be implemented when it comes to online sales for vape products just because it's too easy for underage kids to get anything they want from the internet. The fight isnt over yet but I see a glimmer of hope.
