Hi all I started smoking about 2 years ago cause of my soon to be ex husband. I was able to stop during my pregnancy but after my son was born I started right back up. I don't like smoking around him and try to at least go to a different room if I can't get outside but I know the smell is still on me and it can effect him still. I was talking to my father about it and he is going to help me get my first e-cig, he is also part of this forum, we are looking at getting the ego kit for me. I'm very excited about vaping cause it's healthier for myself and it gets the smell off me and it doesn't hurt that the flavors are MUCH better then an analog as I never really liked the taste, just the nicotine. I'm ready for the change and very excited to join this community of other great people making the change.

You will like the EGO. I have one and love the battery life. You could also consider a VaporKing. That one is still my favorite.

Good for you and a good choice too. Just remember your sense of smell will come back now. You might end up like me, having to have my car cleaned and my house as well from the smell of cigs. Why didn't anyone ever tell me how bad I smelled??

Welcome aboard and remember you are a stranger here but once.

Thanks for the welcome, I'm trying to figure out if I want to buy the ready made bottles with flavor or if I should cut the stronger stuff myself and add the flavor, that would be the cheaper way to go wouldn't it? From what I have read the carts don't last very long and the ego kit I'm looking to buy comes with 5 of the usa mix. Can they be refilled with a different kind after the usa mix is gone? I'm still a little confused with the whole cart thing I guess.

Yep you can refill carts with a different flavor, just pull the filler and wash the cartridge out then put in some clean polyfill (look up the high ping mod) and refill with a new flavor.
Making your own e juice is cheaper and you can customize the flavors to your own taste, I've just ordered about 40 flavors from Perfumers Apprentice - Professional DIY Flavors and 500ml of 50mg base from Welcome to XtremeVaping.com, should be enough for 1 year + ;)

Buy some E-juice, more than you think you may need. The cartridges you have can be cleaned / rinsed out and used with your choice of flavors. Be sure to get some extra Attys. Or, as others will mention, get some cartomizers, either filled or blanks.

And welcome to ECF!

Greetings Brdlove and Welcome!

There is a learning curve involved...most start and stay w/ ready made juices because there's a ton of great stuff out there. Those of us who mix do it to supplement the commercial juices, to experiment, and just have fun doing it.

While you're waiting for your order, read up on how to refill cartridges and maintain your atomizers...because these will be things you'll need to do shortly after starting your journey.

To be able to hold and hug your son without smelling like an ashtray will be priceless.

Hi brdlove01...welcome!

You remind me of me; the only time (before I found ecigs) in 38 years that I was able to quit smoking was while I was carrying my son, 26 years ago...then he was one day old and there I was in the hospital smoking room again (yes, they still had those then!) puffing away!

Not something I'm proud of remembering, but it's the truth, sadly.

I so wish ecigs had been around a long time ago...but thank God they're here now.
Your little boy will grow up with a mommy who isn't killing herself (or anyone else) everyday!
Best of luck to you!!
