It is pretty normal for people to go through this.

My confusion is.... If your broke how can you afford to go back on analogs like the title of your thread suggests?

I was wondering this as well, OP. Taste is great, but also the last thing on my mind when quitting stinkies. I'd rather have no flavor at all to reap the benefits of vaping over smoking coffin nails. Dilute some of your higher mg juices with pure vg until you get over this hump. Cheap and easy.

That's a good point amraann.
I'm on my way to the local vape shop to find some new juices.
I'm broke, but I've got 20 bucks and that's enough to get a few different flavors.
I honestly don't want to go back, I'm just really frustrated.
Thanks for the support everyone. Gonna stick with it.

Yay! Good for you...we posted right at the same time and I didn't see this...

I would love to see you give it awhile longer. It's hard giving up a old friend (cigarettes). You have done so good and you should be very proud of yourself. Lowering the nic so much could be part of the problem. I think you should use a higher nic at the beginning so you can sort of curb the cravings for all the other chemicals you were use to in cigarettes. Then after you have that under control you can try lowering your nic if you want too. I started out at 18 and over a year later I am still on 18. I have no plans of going lower myself and I keep 24 and 36 available for times when someone gets on my "reserve nerve". Ultimately, it is your decision to go back to smoking but because of all the benefits that you already know, I would think it is only fair to give yourself more time. ecf is a great place for learning everything there is about vaping but you also have one heck of a support group in your corner. Good luck to you and I look forward to reading about your successful vaping.

The guys at my local vape shop suggested mouth wash. So after picking up a couple new juices, I got a little bottle of listerine. After the initial listerine taste wore off.....voilà! I could taste again! I still have some residual listerine taste in my mouth, so I'm sure once that wears off I'll be able to taste juices even better. So now I have a few juices to play with and I can taste again. Woo hoo!

Thanks for the suggestion kazziel. I'll have to pick some of that up.

Badkarma - my roommate smokes analogs and it stinks! Rationally I know I don't want to go back, I was just so frustrated. And I know vaping is so much cheaper than analogs. But I'm an addict. I can find a way around it. ;)
But I'm going to stick to vaping. It's the ONLY thing that's kept me off the smokes.

My sure cure for no taste vapes (vapers tongue) is a juice called Al's Toid (by GC Vapors). Tastes like the Altoid mints. A few vapes with that and taste is back to normal.

GC Vapors on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

vaper's tongue is just a rite of passage you need to tough it out and it will pass, almost everybody goes through this, don't give up!. mine lasted for 2 weeks... you could try a menthol it will still feel fresh

I had a friend that went on and off between cigs and vape before I became a vaper, after a while I asked him why and he described the vapers tongue symptoms, after I explained it to him, he continued vaping and soon went over the vapers tongue and been vaping ever since.
