Would really love some input on a starter kit, or pieces, to get started. To say I have become more confused after reading comments would be an understatement since it seems everybody has a different opinion.

I am about a pack a day Marlboro light smoker, which I know is somewhat irrelevant, but I don't really want to be trying something new every other month if I can avoid it. I would like something with a high amount of vapor and decent nicotine level (med?). Flavor matters, but based on what I have read, that will change as it is more about my addiction than a true enjoyment. I am a heavy smoker when I drink primarily and at the obvious other times....sex, morning, golf...lol

Anyway...suggestions on a 1st grade vape level would be appreciated. From where to buy to exactly what to buy (atomizer v cart, etc).

Thanks for any help

Welcome to ECF . Now the EGO is a nice PV , but I don't think you'll be happy with . It's very limited on the voltage output , and the batteries are expensive to replace . Try an E-Power kit . About the same price as an EGO , but puts out 3.7 volts instead oer popular er Bullet . Not bad price , and you can change voltage , by changing out the batteries . I use mine at 3.7 , 5 , and 6 volts . It's made of aluminum , but very well made . If you have a limited budget , you could try a LavaTube VV You can adjust the voltage from 3 to 6 volts , with just pressing a button . NOt the sturdiest made PV out there , but VV on budget / It works . If on the other hand , you were born with a golden spoon in your mouth , then just go buy a V2 Provari , or a Darwin , A Reo "Grand" or the ever popular GG, aka Golden Greek .

Over the edge...
Make it easy on yourself. Go here Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510 and get a Lite bundle. Easy, cheap. Don't forget to click the 20% off at the top left of the page. If you like vaping, you can upgrade later. And order some juice while you're there.

I'm the only one allowed to jump off the cliff here.:D

Would be cool to hear what this person wants looks wise, battery wise, and budget wise. How big of a jump are we talking about lol, like checking it out or looking for the first buy to be the last. Sometimes wish I would have started with something like my Omega, I've seen people start off with a Provari lol, I don't even own one yet.

I wish I'd known then what I know now...if I did, I would have skipped the cig-looking devices and head straight to an ego variant. I did get tired of the tanks on my ego leaking quickly, but fortunately the ego atty's are 510 threaded so you can go to town with 510 carts/attys...even drip on them if you want. Much better battery life and for around the same kit price as the cig-looking thingys, you can get something in the middle that lets you sample pretty much most of what vaping has to offer.

Don't jump off the cliff! We're here to help. Do you want something more than a cig look alike? How long do you want your batteries to last? I'm sure people here will point you in the right direction:)

Appreciate the responses.

As to what I'm looking for...craving cessation is more important than a cig look alike necessarily.

I find myself smoking steady at times and can go without for a period as well...so I would assume good battery life, taste and cartridge (or liquid not sure) life matters most to me.

I hear you man.

I think the disconnect is some us (me) have no idea what the hell we are talking about. I see all these brand names, strength levels, juicing, dripping, etc...and I feel like I'm 17 again in a head shop looking for my first (MODERATED) ..lol

Seriously though...I want to quit. I don't want a new hobby that frustrates the hell out of me bouncing back and forth to real smokes because I can't find a decent e-cig...I would rather (call it lazy if you want) learn from others' trial and error and jump right into something I have a real shot with. I know it probably won't be that easy, but to waste $100 and a month on some micro starter kit that mirrors some gas station OTC e-cig just bothers me.

Regardless, thanks for your input guys.

I have to go with the solid starter PV I always go with.

A Kgo kit, and throw in some Dual Coil Cartomizers for a solid starter PV that should keep you going for a good while.

Don't forget to buy a bottle or two of whatever juice you want for all that.

+1 on that. I would also throw in a vision stardust and a box of 2.4-2.6 fluxomizers, I'd really suggest the phoenix cartos too, but they're sold out right now
