I been using the volt for a week now its good for work and when I'm out and about.
I think its time to upgrade looking for something for home use and maybe to go out with.
I'm looking for suggestions, my preferences are vapor and taste since I'm more sit at home and vape but not really liking the look of the square box type models, And something sold in Canada preferably.

I agree with the eGo. You can also get the 1100mAh batteries which last for a day and a half on one charge. Having a 510 connection it is nice too. Then all the stuff you hear vapers talk about - low res, 306, map tanks, t-tanks, whatever, it all becomes available to you with a fairly cheap start up kit. Providing you shop around you can come across kits for as little as $60.

The eGo is an excellent choice. It was my first e-cig and it was love at first draw. the amount vapour they produce is amazing, plus there are so many options available with this little unit. The starter kits available will get you off to a good start. I would recommend buying some cartomizers right off the bat as the cartridges didn't last too long for me as I was a pretty heavy smoker, so I was constantly filling them up. The cartos last a lot longer between refills.

I have been happy with the standard 650 mAh batteries that came with my starter kit, as one will easily last me most of the day, but a bigger one or one with a pass through might be more convenient for you.

Some people don't like the bulk of the eGo, but I don't find it overly cumbersome, and I don't feel like I'm carrying a baseball bat out in public with it either.

If you go with the eGo, you won't be disappointed in my opinion!

One caveat of going from Volt to eGo;
The volt spits out 3.7v. The eGo is regulated down to 3.2-3.4v.

You will notice a cooler vape (which may affect vapor production as well).

Since you plan on using your next one at home, how 'bout something like the ePower or some other tube mod? Those batts will last you a long time (cheaper to replace as well).

Cheapest mod I've seen (not that I've looked that hard) is the Roughstack from madvapes. Get the Maxi with 18650 batts and you're good to go. Otherwise, check out the silver bullet (I can't remember the vendor's name, but there is somebody out in Guelph that sells 'em). It's an oldie, but a goodie.

With a 306 atty on the ego it's anything but a cool vape :)

Is this an LR? Unfortunately, I'm well stocked on 510 atty's, so I'm doing my best to avoid 306. Only because if I fall for it, then I'm sitting on 510 stock that I won't touch.

The thing that scares me from using LR on an eGo is the risk of frying the MOSFET. I don't think it's a common thing. So, I'm not trying to scare the OP from going this route. Just hoping that if OP does go with an eGo, he/she's aware of the risks of using LR.

I'm not saying anybody should adhere to my posts. Just hoping to put out more options to the OP.

If you are looking to upgrade I would say go with an ego. Be aware though that using L r atty's or cartomizers on these have been know to drain the battiers. Now if you have rr att's or carts you should be fine. I don't know how much truth to that is though as I have been using the duel carto's on my ego battery and haven't had any problems other than it seems to use up the battery quicker. Another suggestion I can give you is go with a nice mod. You can use the LR carto's or atty's on these with no problem. I don't know how you are fixed for money but I can give you some suggestions on mds from low end to high end that I have and that work really well. The sp3, the blue crush, Missy wet box, Roughstack, Revolution v21 and the Reo

Not sure if you have a few batteries and the PCC with the volt, to keep you going? I hit a 1000mAh pass thru all the time at home, in the car, work, lasts all day+ for me and I vape heavy. I keep two in rotation 1 always on the computer usb charging and just swap it when I leave the house for the day. It's border line baseball bat but only an inch or so sticks out of my hands at the top when I'm vaping it in public.

If you're really liking the eGo, I'd strongly suggest you look at the epower. Similar shape and form to the eGo except it doesn't use proporietary batteries and you will vape at 3.7v.

Nothing wrong with an eGo (I started with it), just that I think you might not like the drop in voltage.

Since I'm outnumbered here, I'll slink away from this thread. I just think you can skip the eGo and move on to a mod. My experience was eGo, rs maxi, Rs with lr, now the buzz pro.

Once I had tried true 3.7v, I couldn't go back to the eGo. LR made it even harder to go back.

Best of luck to you in your next purchase.

Sorry...not using the quotes. As far as ego batts and LR anything goes....maybe I've just been lucky. I've noted faster draining time, but that's it. If I'm hitting it really hard I'll keep two going just to not get the bats too hot. I have different resistance 306s, as low as 1.5 and same with 510s. I use SR often at work (office and sorta keep it on the downlow) so there are reasons to have a variety of atty resistances around. The taste over the vapor production is my reason for loving the 306 ones. I have four ego batts, two from my starter kit are now over four months old. they are fine still with LR atties and cartos.

edit: and if I blew a batt because of LR 306 atties, I'd be ok with the loss. So worth it!!
