Hi everyone. I have been using a regular ego since I started vaping about a year ago. I think it may be time to upgrade, but I have been spending so much money on DIY juice, that I don't have much left. I would like something newer, but inexpensive. I have a lot of 510 clearomizers, so I would like something that I can use those with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help, this place is great.

Hi

You can use any of your 510 clearos on any 510 battery device, however, if they are actually "eGo" threaded (meaning they screw onto the outside threads), you may have to get an adaptor for some mods. (example below)

Any idea of what you're interested in? Price range? Size? Color? Features?

It's not a 510, but you can get a eGo to 510 adapter (I suspect you already have one since you are using 510s on a "regular eGo" now) to use your existing clearomizers. This will graduate you to the world of variable voltage/variable wattage without a huge increase in size or complexity over what you have now. The above link is a pretty good deal on the entire kit (including the iClear16s - which are coil head replaceable), but you can get the 'express' kit with just the battery and charger for about the same price ($35 with "itastevv" discount code) at iVape.com: iTaste VV v3.0

That is correct. I'm not sure I could figure out the variable voltage thing....sad I know.

Completely fine. I quit smoking with a 650mAh kit and the old cartridge/atty system.

I highly recommend a Joyetech Twist or Vision Spinner. They are entry level variable voltage devices, that will give you a chance to get acquainted with that feature without spending a lot of money.

You can use all of your clearos and they will both work with the eGo charger you already have. Just about every vaper has gone through the Twist/Spinner phase and many, like myself, still keep them for back-up. They are a nice solid devices (I can't stress the name brands enough!) and I take them when I go out, since I won't freak if something happened.

Psh ...it's easy. 1) Read the ohms of coil you are using, 2) add 2, 3) set your voltage, 4) adjust .1 increments for taste.

...and, from what I hear, well worth it - especially since you are a juice DIYer - because the higher voltages really changes the flavor.

Do you have a link I could use to find said system?

Sorry, I've really just been sliding by with what I have. What does ohms of the coil I am using mean?

I buy from this vendor a lot. As I said, you have your eGo for back up, so all you need is a Twist or Spinner. The biggest different between to two is that the numbers on the Spinner are easier to read.

Ecig ego vision joyetech Batteries

So this would be good?

I second the eGo Twist. It was my second piece of vape hardware, and I really enjoyed it. The iTaste VV looks solid too--great feature set for the price--if I'd have known about it when I started vaping, I might have gotten it instead of the Twist. Either way, I think you'd be in good shape for a while, especially considering that your current setup is built around an eGo battery.

Happy vaping!
