I picked these up on eBay. I know better, but I was buying some other things and the seller had great reviews, so I figured I give it a shot. I'm not convinced they are real. The seller has offered me a refund, but I wanted to make sure my assumptions were correct before I send them back.

In both pictures, one of my old AW's I got from RTD is on the right and the 2 batteries in question are on the left. The markings are different and the color is a little off.

What do the experts say?

Mine look exactly like those and I got them from Provape. They have the + and - shown and all the other info as well. Would Provape sell knock-offs?

I couldn't imagine ProVape selling fakes... Are you sure they are identical? Do yours from ProVape have the lime of symbols underneath the mah rating? That in itself would almost convince me they were legit. Is that illogical?

Did the seller come up with the refund as soon as you mentioned you thought they were fake?
When a seller is convinced he or she she is selling genuine stuff he/she usually doesn't do that.

The seller actually said that they have had several people ask about them and that they need to check with their supplier. They offered a refund or told me I could keep them at a discounted rate.

Other than the sticker they look the same as mine and I know the sticker used to look like that until not too long ago and he maybe got an old stock, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions.
On the other hand, I also wouldn't try to save few $$ on batteries and you probably can't be 100% sure now, so I hope next time you'll just order from a known reseller.

Anyway good luck :)

Thanks everyone for confirming my suspicions. Part of me wants to just return them for a refund and be done with it. But, there's another part of me that wants to keep them, report him to eBay for selling counterfeit items, and leave him horrible feedback so other buyers will know. That could be worth $13!! I'll take a day and think about it.
