First a rant...

I am beginning to hate my Super 6 with the 801. I love the flavor/hit of the HV 801 atomizers, but I am tired of the juice leaking out of the adjustable draw hole. If anyone has any suggestions of how to fix this problem PLEASE let me know.

end rant...

Second...

When would I be able to place an order for a 901 adaptor? As I am thinking of going back to cartomizer to stop the juice from always being on my hands.

Sounds to me like it's flooded...

I think you "can" order the 901 adapters right now.. I just ordered a couple of the 510's.

I'm an 808 cartomizer user for a bunch of reasons.. One being flooded attys..
I just obtained and started using some of the 510 cartomizers for the Precise and I'm liking them every bit as much as the 808's and maybe even a little better..
The vapor seems a bit warmer and thicker.. They hold the same amount of liquid.. So far they last just as long..

Anywho.... I think David has some of the 901's

If you want to get rid of your 801 adapter let me know.... I'll buy it from you...

I placed the order for the 901 adapter, and I will let you know if I sell the 801 adaptor, chances are I will. I also have 14 HV 801 atomizers that came from east-mall.

Hi

I have a S6 and I can empathize with your problem. However, all my PVs leak so I don't think it is just a S6 problem.

What I try to do is to not over fill the atomizer when dripping through the T tip and also try to keep the hole facing up.

Other than that I think you just need to be aware of any possible liquid that is leaking out. And every now and again wipe the rubber o-ring with some tissue as this can leak as well, and the hole. Sometimes it helps to blow through the top of the 801 adjustable draw adapter every so often and collect the excess liquid in the tissue from the hole.

Hope this helps.

I have a super 6 but I don't know what you are talking about adjustable vent hole (I use the 510 adapter). The only holes are at the botton next to the switch which is used for protection in case the batteries explode.

Martha

Just my thoughts on 801s.

David originally offered two 801 adapters. One was designed with an adjustable air draw but this option wasn't included on the 510 or 901. The 801 has a light draw and the adapter was designed for adjustment to individual taste.

I have one and it does make a difference in the performance of the 801. Unfortunately, this atty also has an issue with leaking as you will see many complaints around the forums. They take lots of fiddling to find the sweet spot between dry and flooded so will tend to be rather messy, if you don't get it just right.

801s will have the same issue, regardless of the mod or battery used - just the nature of the beast. Due to the O-ring on the adjustable air draw, it simply follows the path of least resistance and leaks through the draw hole. With other devices, it will pool up around the atty connection.

I quit using them, some time back, as I got tired of the mess - plus they are much larger than 901s, 510 or cartos. Like Brock, I have moved on to cartomizers and feel they are the best compromise available. Good flavor, acceptable vapor production and great liquid capacity.

Sorry about your juice leakage issues. I no longer carry the 801 adapter, not so much because 801 atomizers tend to leak, but also because there were getting to be some many variations of the 801 atomizer, some of which didn't fit properly. I will miss it:-(

Nothing to be sorry about really... I mean it is not the design that is the problem, or rather it is not the super 6 itself, but the 801. I love the 801 I just cannot handle having juice all over my desk, pocket, hands, etc... How long of a wait for the 901 adapters?

trox, maybe it's the hv801 atties. i bought a bunch of them from EM myself, and after leaking juice on every device i used them on i gave up and moved on. could be the adjustable draw, could be a combination, but just wanted to let you know those same HV801 atties were a major problem for me too. if you haven't already, put a bib and some rubber gloves on and give them a go on another device. :D

i think altsmoke might get some LR 801's which i'll be trying as well. which will be good for 3.7v. But as far as HV 801''s go that is suppose to drop the 6v vape to a 5.0v vape. Unless you got one of those 7.2 -7.4v HV 801's which will make it feel more like 6v.

Also how many drips are you putting into your 801 attie? Also what helps me with my atties when they start leaking is to blow them out real good and then let drain for additional 10 mins. then add 4 drops vape then add more as you go.

Also what kind of eliquid are you using? Personally I use the Tasty Vapor due to the eliquid having a nice consistent liquid that helps with the leeking issue. In other words its not to watered down which help with leaking and its not to thick to destroy atties. Its a happy medium. :)

I agree the leakage issue with the 801 is a real pain in the ....; however, my experience with them on the Super Six is that the Vapor / Taste combination far exceeds either the 901 or 510 attys.

My only complaint is that the only 2 attys I had were heavily used with OEM batteries before I received my S6 and didn’t stand up well to the switch to 6 volts.

I purchased my device with a 901 adapter and while it converted to 801 with an additional adapter, I now wish I had purchased one from Super T as well.

I may be interested in at least some of your unused HV 801 attys but I don’t know how they will perform with my combination. The standard DSE801 from overseas seemed to vape well with my Excellerator LiFePO4 batteries even though these batteries have been reported as under powered and short lived.

Shoot me a PM if you’re interested in selling some of them.

Yeah I love the 801 for its performance, but I just cannot deal with the juice leaking anymore. I have 14 unused HV801, and I think 5-10 puresmoker 801's once my 901 adapter get here I'll give you a pm if I decide to sell my 801 gear

I'm an S6 user too. Mostly HV801s and BE112s using adjustable draw feature.

In order to minimize leakage, I think filling 801 cartridges with a syringe is more important than it is with any of the smaller carts. Also, when you refill (by drops or syringe) wipe all the tiny droplets off of the outside of the cart with a tissue. Otherwise they will accumulate and leak or clog your atomizer. Further, blow out your atomizer 2 or 3 times a day orally, not with compressed air.

Should you end up not using your HV atties, I'd be interested in them as well.

I too have had success with the Excellerator LiFePo4s. I think they got an unjustified rep from the claim of a pair blowing out someone's teeth (God! That sounds bad8-o) Because of the claim, I measure every matched pair before I use them. When I had one bad battery early on, the vendor was quick to replace the pair.

...I understand they are made by hand, but I have no patients....

Good thing you're a cook and not a doctor:D
