I'm looking for a Rath's clone. I've tried 2 different suppliers, TV and VB. Both are not the flavor I had when I tried Rath's waffle. Has anyone found a suitable replacement since rath's not making juice anymore? TV's seems to taste burnt after the first few hits and VB's tastes like straight butter, nothing else. I'm looking for a more syruppy and less buttery blend, if that makes a difference.

Sorry to hear about your TV experience because that was my pick (since it has more of a syrupy taste than anything, which is what I like too) Never had a burnt issue from those. Looking at your mods I don't think your HV vaping so I'm not sure where the burnt taste is coming from. What res atty are you using. I notice 1.5ohm attys can burn some sweeter juices sometimes. FWIW I'm using a 2.0 ohm 801 mini on a REO mini with this juice to base my results :)

Thanks for the recommendations folks. I was actually reading about the bluemist belgian waffle earlier today and was thinking about giving that a try. I'll probably try velvet's too just to have a wider range to test.

Benjay: I have used the following with TV's waffle: 510 LR (2.0 ohm) cartomizer on a riva, Go-Go 3 ohm Carto, 510 E2 R4 carto on a riva(which gave the worst "burnt" flavor of all). It's a shame, because i have a lot of good stuff from TV and the only ones that don't end up giving me that flavor are the Tastyfinger and AC. The worst offender for the burnt taste has to be the kretek, which gives me about 10 good puffs before tasting so bad I can't take it any more. I don't know if it's the sweetener or the VG mixed in that's doing it (i get 80pg/20vg), but i'd say it's either a burnt or carmelized flavor. No idea, but i wish it didn't happen because on a fresh carto, the stuff is fairly yummy.

I am a huge waffle fan too, and feel the same way about TV waffle. 6 months ago, TV waffle was a lot better, until one of his flavoring vendors started screwing him, so he stopped using their flavoring. (the supplier kept diluting the flavoring, while raising the price according to Geoff)

I find BWB waffle to have more maple flavor. I ordered with extra flavoring. Once you get these new ones you are going to try, if you want to trade a little, I would be willing to give up 5ml of my BWB waffle in trade.

Cheers

Yeah, i did hear about geoff's supplier. Which is a shame, because they're very well known and (prior to this) had a very good reputation. He said they did the same with his cinnamon oil, and apparently a recent batch had a bunch of crap floating in it. I'm definitely not going to stop supporting his business though. He's been saying someone else is now brewing him some consistent flavorings, and he's trying to get her to make a waffle. At which point i may order a new batch from him.

never tried the go-go carto before (it's proprietary correct?) and CE2R4's are notorious for causing burnt flavors on all juices. Not a big carto guy to begin with and I only use them to put in tanks mods, but when I do I always butane torch the wicks since there is antibacterial on them (thinking about vaping that stuff makes me cringe) then I soak it in PGA for 2 mins, dab dry and then let it fully dry before I even think of vaping on them. Also I believe the coils on the CE2s are hand wound so if they are too tight they can cause a burnt taste too. Really sorry for getting so off topic. Seems like you have a bunch of recommendations. I was eager to pull the trigger on the bluemist one but I have way too much right now that I can't warrant another purchase.................

yet :p
