really, it should take 3 hours to charge a ego twist?

I got a high speed USB charger from TW and it shaved about 45 minutes off my wait. If you love the twist like i do you gotta have a backup. I have a 650mah and a 1000mah and have yet to find an instance i wasnt able to vape. :)

Might have to get a 1000mah. both my twists died at work today and I am surrounded by tobacco on the job. torture! broake down and had a stinkie. worst feeling ever! felt like I had been poisoned. (i was!)

what's the mah rating on your batteries? Even with the 650mah eGo batts, I found they lasted about 8 hours of heavy vaping on a full charge. Might be time to get yourself a Lavatube or something similar - they're inexpensive, have a long battery life (I charge my battery every 24-36 hours) and are variable voltage as well - charge time is similar to the eGo batts.

only getting 3 hours vape time on a twist seems strange, unless you are using dual coil cartos of course. I found that my ego twist would drain pretty quick using dual coils. With constant vaping using single coils my 650 mah twist would last 4 or 5 hours. One thing I did find, leave it on the charger for about an hour after the light turns green, not sure if it really lasted longer or if maybe I was just vaping less, but I would get a full 6 hours out of it leaving it on there for the extra hour.

Mine are the smaller, I guess, 650 mah ones. my non variable ego 650's last for about a day and 1\2. Love the VV of the twist tho.

I like my nice, slow, gentle on batteries external charger for my mods. I suppose I'd like a nice slow twist charger too. Why would I want to stress out my battery and reduce its useful life? Since the batteries are about the same cost as regular eGo stuff, Joye gave everyone a real break... so have backups and charge two at once.

And, no, I'm not made of $$. That's why I take care of my batteries (with slow/normal chargers) :)

:2c:

ETA: Fast charge = more internal heat. Heat = BAD for Li-Ion. To be fair, I don't know what battery chem the twist uses for sure.

Well, this isn't intended to be a "rapid" charger debate, but rather, a "slow isn't that bad" discussion. BTW Rapid is relative. So is use (a two year old 808 would not have lasted 2 years in constant use for example... I don't care what charger you use... so I don't understand the point).

The point is that slow isn't bad. She can actually feel better that her charger is charging at a "normal" rate. Heat is a no-no (for Li-Ion). How much heat develops is a function of the charger, and is related to the speed of charge. Some are better than others.

Interestingly, I actually have some devices (string trimmer) that use Li-Ion and it says not to use it/charge it above XX degrees F. (I think 90). They don't like heat!
