So I thought I would share with everyone. I ordered from Health Cabin (2 orders) in the last month. One had sat in "Canada Customs" as per the CP tracking site for 16 days, the other for 7. One order has finally arrived, and the second is still with CP. Now on the fun part with a couple pictures. I figured out what happened in the HUGE visit with Canada Customs.

Everything ordered arrived (Albiet a bit repacked) nothing missing. I'm betting the other order when it arrives will look very similar.

Order pictured above: Carto's, Carto's, some more carto's, and a couple DCT tanks.

Other order, Carto's, some drip tips, and that is all. Simply happy it arrived, but thought it was interesting that it was inspected by Health Canada.

That is an awful lot of cartos....
Just how much do you vape???

I'm not surprised by this if Health Cabin marks "GIFTS" on the declaration form. That's just asking for inspection. There are better ways to disguise hardware & e-juice.

Thank you for your reminder about "GIFT". It is Amy from health cabin.
You are right. There must be better ways to disguise hardware & ejuice. Can you give us any examples?
Sometimes we do not know which name is better to mark on the declaration form.

Maybe

Ejuice - Flavorants or aroma oils

Hardware - try this one: Since there are thousands of parts in a single machine - try "Parts for pinball machine"

For hardware, one vendor I know uses "RC parts" .... RC being Radio Controlled ... The RC hobby industry has millions of parts

I can see that.
There are some parts that can be common to both.
Most higher end RC vehicles use LiPoly batteries now but some still use NiMh and I got my o-rings for my 510 drip tips from a hobby store. They are silicone one used in the oil shocks of RC cars.

Declaration term idea's

"Electrical connectors, and/or switches, lead free" is good to describe- Cartimizers/atomizers/adapters/cones/chargers/Mod tubes, ends

Batteries, not sure on that one, perhaps- RC power module, Hobby power supply, Flashlight batteries, or just throw it under the Electrical connectors heading.

Items made of mainly plastic can be claimed as- Plastic hobby parts, RC body components, plastic modeling parts

For liquid there is a few possibilities like- Aromatherapy oils, Massage oils, Lock De-icer, Vegtable Glycerine, Electrolyte fluid, Personal lubricant, Skin moisturizer, Dihydroxypropane (inert/non-toxic/not restricted), Propanediol (inert/non-toxic/not restricted), Dimethicone, E-405(food additive code for PG)

Full list of alternate names for PG-www.glycolallergy.com/Advice/tabid/63/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/1/Other-Names-For-Propylene-Glycol.aspx

Instead of declaring a shipment "GIFTS", the terms- "Other" or "Commercial sample" can be used.

-In no way should the declaration make the product/s appear as- medical supply, Toxic or controlled substance, we want it to be known that the products are just common safe things being shipped, no big concern.

-Whenever possible declare package value under or close to $20 to avoid excessive taxing and border charges, splitting a large order into two or more seperate packadges can make lower value declarations more feesable at the expense of increased shipping fee's, smaller packadges draw less attention and less risk of theft, damage or invasion of privacy as well.

These are just my Idea's based on what I have seen from others and should not be considered the final word, this is simply for inspiration on how to make shipping common goods less hassle for both customer and vendor.

OH!, and one thing I need to add-
Having to sign for a package is dam near a guaruntee that that the item will not be shipped to the persons house, instead a note will be left for the receiver to pick up the item at a shipping center, this is a pain in the .....

Our postal workers are shy and have broken fingers so they cannot knock or push a doorbell. My personal postlady absolutely hates the portable tracking machine that she needs to collect signatures on, so she will leave it in the truck and just leave a note for pick-up instead.

A NON registered shipping option at the risk of not being insured should be offered so the postman just puts the item in the mailbox with the rest of the mail, I really like tracking #'s though so I can follow the travel of the order, just really hate signing for it as it means that the Item will most likely never arrive at my doorstep.
