No, i hear ya. Many of the tobacco's i have tried taste more like a cigar than a cigarette. Which, dont get me wrong, is good! But, wasnt what i was expecting when i was making my initial purchases.

At anyrate, your going about it the right way. And, as long as you use the fluids, this was is also much cheeper.

I guess I was lucky. The prefilled carts I received with my starter kit were actually pretty good. Being the curious type, I had to try the liquids though. I figured it would be cheaper in the long run. Like most noobs, I figured tobacco flavoring was the way to go so I ordered 3 types of tobacco flavored juice. Two of them were so-so, but 1 of them was absolutely wonderful! Much, much better then the original ones I received. I have since decided to explore other flavors as well and am awaiting the arrival of a variety of sampler flavors. This is so much more fun than the same old boring cigarette flavored cigarettes I smoked for 40 years!

Can I ask what brand you are referring to? I've tried several v2's and one I thought was awful (Congress) but I really liked the Coffee and Cowboy. Did you try more than one flavor?
Since hubby and I both tried this ecig thing the same time, we sparing got parts and I will be needing another charger (we have the wall, pcc on the go charger and pass through for the PC, so we have been ok with charging, and have 4 batteries plus the pc pass through) - but I haven't ordered the other "kit" until I can visit this forum more and learn more. I love the convenience of the 2-piece, but am sort of jealous at others who can try and fill their own for various flavor types.
So anyway, I'm absorbing all the knowledge I can, as fast as I can.

i am new and trying to find the right juice for me, also. i chose to buy from freedomsmokesusa first because they had so many samples. with the samples you can have some fun, try something different. flavor is so subjective; i didn't want to buy a big bottle of something i end up not liking, then trashing.

I think you'll find juice that satisfy you, You might try some of the Backwoods Brew tobacco flavors. You might even try their Casablanca - it's a bit more cocoa than tobacco IMO but I got good TH and the the vapor is rich and aromatic. After that one I really felt like I had smoked. Today I'm doing their Cherry Tobacco and I think it's lighter, more delicate. And they have a bunch of more normal tobacco varieties.

I think you'll find pretty much anything at all will suit you better than prefilled cartos. Even if you are filling or refilling blanks with the exact same juice that came in the prefilled ones, it's just a much, much better experience from flavor to performance.

Also buy a drip tip and try it. It takes a little practice but the flavor is much cleaner and you never get that burnt filler taste.

First day analog free! First day vaping. I'm thrilled with Vapor4Life's service and everything is great... except for the pre-filled cartos. They taste atrocious... like smoking perfume. I received a few samples and I can't say I liked the taste of any. I plan on ordering e-liquids from MyFreedomSmokes, but I'm a bit worried.

Basically, I'm looking for some assurance that filling blanks tastes much better. What is your personal preference? Because if this is how they all taste, then I already miss my Camels and Lucky Strikes. :/

I was lucky I guess. I started with v2 and had gotten some good (and one bad) prefilled carts to start with. If I had only tried the "Congress" flavor, I would have not liked Ecigs as much or quit as quickly as I did (3 days to not sneak a ....). The coffee was great and so was the Cowboy. I've learned to try the smallest size until I know what I like. I have switched to filling my own carts and thanks to this forum finding reasonable pricing on the carts. My quest in life is to find the same coffee flavor that v2 has. I don't like the Johnson Creek Black Cherry, do like the Domestic (tobacco type) as well as the Tennessee Cured (which tastes like the v2 Cowboy). Didn't really like the Volcano Kona Coffee. I'm slowly learning what floats my boat and do heed the experienced folks who say to keep what you think you don't like now because you may like it tomorrow.

REMEMBER ONE THING: Those cigarettes (analogs) have other things that are addictive other than the nicotine, so some of those cravings are those other things and not the nicotine. I learned this because i knew I was getting nicotine with the Ecig yet still had some cravings - they will pass soon. About 10 days after I had my last Tcig .... (sneaked) I tried a cig and coughed my fool head off! I couldn't believe I reacted that way because I have smoked for about 40 years! Who knew?

I am a week or so in, got a kit with pre filled carts, and they were tollerable at best. Bought some cheap juice from a local vendor and was pleased, but not a lot of flavor and their vanilla gives me sore throat after a couple of ours. Got my order from Mrs. T's yesterday and HOLY COW! Lots and Lots of flavor, smooth but quality throat hit. I got Cherry Cola which I love, chocolate mint cappuccino which is great, strawberry cheesecake which I could probably give up food for, and apple cider which is good but a little tart for me.

Buy empty carts/ cartos and buy quality juice from one of the vendors you see listed around here with lots of positive feedback and I think you will find you get a lot more enjoyment from your e-cig.

Their Casablanca is my regular vape. It's dry and smoky and not sweet, with a hint of cocoa.

I am not familiar with it but FreedomSmokeUSA's Camel-alike is called Desert Ship tobacco bland.

Don't be disappointed if you don't like your Johnson Creek stuff....the MsTs Bakery stuff will make up for it. The JC juices all taste the same to me...and they all have an "undertaste" that I don't like (some LOVE it....)....so don't give up even if your first juice order is not the end all be all. If you got their (JC) sample kit....you'll love the tin and the bottles if nothing else. lol..

One of my very favorite juice vendors is VaporBomb. They have 5ml sample sizes and their fruit flavors are very, very good...my all time favorites. I've been vaping for over 5 months now, and have ordered juice from probably 10 different vendors, and vaporbomb is my favorite. Their juices are fresh and taste very clean to me. In fact, they're a lot better after they've been sitting for a few days. Their peach juice is one of the best juices I've ever had. Good luck.

IMO the only one I've found that comes real close to camel or lucky strike is Pall Mall 36mg from freedomskoeusa.com. Anybody that wants the analog feel should try it.


Also, I desparately wanted to stick with prefilled cartos and didn't want to get into filling, dripping, etc. (I'm lazy

But another problem I found was that while it did find some with the "perfect" strength/flavor, a major issue with prefilled is that they are not very consistent. Depends on how long they're on the shelf, etc. I actually went back to analogs once because I got a couple bad boxes of prefilled.

Now I have about 30-40 bottles of juice and a drawer full of blank cartos. The only way to go.

Have fun, explore. Try V4L's WOW cart and there peppermint if your wanting a flavor EXPLOSION. There watermelon is a taste treat also. Pick up some vanilla (somewhere else, theres clog carts) for a nice mellow vape.
