I'm looking into upgrading my ego c twist and protank but I have some questions first on what route to go. I've gotten some good feed back but now i'm looking into rebuild-able atomizers and a good mod to use with them. If I get a MVP V2.0/ZMAX v3/APV v3 and want a rebuild-able atomizer, do they just thread into the 510 fitting or would I have to get a different mod?

Sorry for the nub question but i'm leaning towards the MVP V2.0 and wanted to look more into a rebuild-able atomizer that I could use with it once I learned more.

Or is there another setup that I should be looking at?

Yup you'll have no issue with a rebuild-able and the MVP 2. I have a Kayfun and an IGO-L on my MVP 2 and they work flawlessly. I recommend the MVP 2 and the IGO-L if you're just starting out rebuilding. They really go well together.

Any of those mods you suggested will have 510 threading and support your rebuild-able.

Honestly, kayfun... can't go wrong with it. If you get a clone, ehpro or hcigar..I would get a plus or 3.1.

Since you want to just buy one..if you want a dripper, igo-l if you want to change flavors a lot.. origen if you want something solid with a deep well.

I always recommend the agi too.. $10 on 101vape and gives you the option to use as a genesis or dripper..

1 atomizer is never enough...:)

its always better to ask than to break something! it is completely fine to use an RBA on a controlled output mod as long as you are careful with your resistance! you must be certain the amperage load you place on your battery does not exceed the rating for your device or it may blow up or catch fire. download an ohms law calc on your phone super easy to use. check resistance and calculate the load before firing device. keep reading up on it and you will learn a ton on here. just keep it safe and don't become another statistic. or just get a mech mod and high drain battery and your straight.

Are you looking to buy online or do you have access to a B&M in your area? While online is generally the cheaper route your local B&M (if you have one) could also walk you through your first build. Although I've purchased mine online and learned to do my builds from the countless tips and tutorials from ECF members as well as from YouTube, I picked up some juice from one of my local B&M's over the weekend and saw them helping a few of their customers with their first builds. I thought that was pretty cool and just thought I'd put that out there for you as an option.

Although I heavily recommend a Kayfun due to their being awesome awesome devices, I would recommend an RDA, like a Trident clone, or an RBA, like an RSST, to get your feet wet into rebuilding. The latter items can be done on the fly and to suit your tastes in the moment where, for me at least, I found a good coil setup and only change out the cotton on occasion on the Kayfun.

Awesome information thank you!

What's a B&M?

What do you mean when you say can be done on the fly? What're the differences between the two?

So the igo-I doesn't have as big of a tank as the origen? How substantial is the difference?

... while I don't put all my trust into regulated mods..the chips have a set output. They won't exceed a certain current, and batteries aren't something to worry about with the mvp.

And a simple look at the current pulled from the coil directly won't show you much on safety of boost mods. Your concern is going to be focussed with how much the boost circuit with higher resistances is pulling more current from the battery to get the higher voltages than it's able to produce on its own.

So it's generally advised to get batteries with a 10amp amp continuous rating on 6volt mods.. but the same batteries used in the mvp are used by some modders with dna boards.

Edit.. and a good shop will show you how to build regardless if you bought it there. I would buy something like overpriced wire for their help though..

The coils are immediately accessible on most RDAs and RBAs (more so on the RDA's) so easy to get to them and play around. An RTA like the Kayfun requires taking the unit apart to get to the coil.

I tend to stick with clones..I will buy originals of the origen, taifun, and kayfun though.. I'm suspecting the 3d to be added to that list when clone gets here.

I can't find an igol thread... but the origen is really the largest well you can find..like an Olympic swimming pool compared to most. There are shallower wells, but the igo isn't deep.. patriot is another good one..moderate well..easy to build on..i don't know if there are versions without holes in posts, but all my friends that own originals have holes..cuz I've seen people say the igow is easier to build than it..so I'm assuming by those statements there aren't holes in posts..you do the same build..slightly longer legs, since it is larger in diameter.

Sorry to overwhelm you...I think all the origen clones don't have the option to turn off airflow for single coil.. May want to consider that..I don't think it's a great idea to use dual coils on regulated stuff, outside of dna/other high output devices.. you're also not me..:)
