New to vaping and have a rba on the way thru vape mail. Figured i needed to buy gear to help me get started in rebuildables and didnt have much luck finding that one post that had "everything" i needed in one place.

I havent built a single coil yet and all of this information was found here on these forums, or other similar type forums.

Props to Rapture and Choc-Addic to helping me get started.

Of course to those rebuilding pros, your feedback would be appreciated to help me correct, and better this thread to help me and other newbs like me that are just getting into rebuildables.

Here is the thread that talked about all the tools that you use and what you need.

One thing tho..... SEARS has the Craftsman Digital Multimeter with 8 Functions and 20 Ranges [sears.com] for $9.99 (Reg $22.99).

In-store pickup is free. link -www.sears.com/craftsman-multimeter-digital-with-8-functions-and-20/p-03482141000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Stop by dollar store and pick up tweezers , nail clippers, mini screw driver sets.
Stop by harbor freight and pickup helping hands, Butane Torch Lighter, Needle Nose Pliers (jewelers needle noose pliers are better at hobby store).
Stop by CVS or Walgreens for cotton balls and pick up metal tooth cleaning tool which used to adjust the coil.

That should get you started.

Cheers.

For me, my first purchase of kanthan came in the form of 30 ga. It seemed to be a happy medium that could be used in my Protank and Vivi Nova's to the new Kayfun Lite+ that I'm waiting for in the vapemail.

For wicking materials, organic cotton is my preferred medium.

For tools, I was a radio controlled car fan a few years ago, and have a set of really nice screwdrivers, small needle nose and wire cutters. I wrap my micro coils with hex keys since my drill bit set was kinda nasty looking. For tweezers, I use the tweezers off my Swiss Army Knife. And I bought a micro torch from Home Depot for $10.

For rebuilders that are looking for really nice tools, I would recommend looking at hobby shops. You can find really nice precision tools that designed to work in a small workspace like an atty.
