Hello everyone,

been out and about for a few years and didn't focus much on what's new and so forth.

Bought a a protank yesterday and actually like it a lot while hating the fact that I have to rebuild it myself but it seems a bit easier than back in the time.

my only experience with rebuildable was my ody which made me go crazy because my German sausage fingers were not made to do coils and stuff.

so now that it seems easier to rebuild attys could you guys enlighten me and tell me what you think in your opinion is the best and easiest Rebuildable atty on the market?

I don't care for those things with the metal mash that you have to burn first just a regular atty with a coil and wick is all I need to make me happy.

It can can be a dripping atty or a tank atty (if you call it that).

i am sure there is much more out there other than this protank and I would highly appreciate your help.

thanks everyone

Anything with single coil is going to be easiest. I would go with Kayfun or Russian. They're easier to build than the Protank heads because you don't have to take anything apart. Just wrap your coil and attach to the posts.

I think a lot of newcomers to rebuilding tend to start with 30g or 32g Kanthal. I started with 30g myself. I don't know if I should suggest you start with 28g, but I found it so much easier. It will require more wraps than 30g but the wire is so much thicker which makes it easier to work with. Which will be easier with those German sausage fingers.

Also on a side note. Those coils are so much smaller than it would seem on those videos. It threw me for a little bit if loop. A magnifying glass of some sort wouldn't be a bad purchase. Unless of course you have superman eyes.

I second this post. I started with 32g kanthal. Then I went to 30g. Then I went to 28g, and wish I started with 28 in the FIRST place. SOOOOO much easier to work with.

Check out my first blog for coils, ohms, resistance, diameter, etc.....it really lets you know what diameter of kanthal you can use, the diameter to make it using what, the number of coils, and the number of wraps so as to get a certain ohm. I actually borrowed it from someone who was so kind as to post it. Good luck and Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I started with the Igo-L and found it very easy, but, if you have big ol' sausage fingers, you might like one of the bigger drippers, like the Omega or the Patriot. They're 22mm across - the same width as the average mod, IOW - which gives you lots of room to maneuver.

Also, you can use the famous drill bit method with cotton, which means that you only have to change the wick once in a while, rather than having to redo the whole coil.

:)

Good luck.
