I normally use my IBT tanks but I want something new to try out and I have time to mess around with these now. Just wanted to know what kind of rebuildable I should look for. I have a provari but I could just buy another mod but not sure which one. Should I just go with a Z atty pro or would a kayfun be better. Was in a local ecig shop and was told I wouldnt be able to use a provari with a rebuildable dripper and I needed to get something like a buffalo mod since it could handle running at .1 ohms. Like I said I have lots of time to mess with this now and I have the cash to burn, any help at all would be great. I also would need to know what kind of tools I should have and what kind of things I would need to order that the tank or dripper does not come with. Thank you

Yeah kayfun lite plus works nice on a Provari. I was in Mantua Home Depot this morning go figure. Other then the normal rebuilding stuff kanthal cotton screw driver and a drill bit you'll need little else. Check your ohms Provari only takes 1.2 ohms and up.

I did find this video of .9 ohm but at the price of a provari not sure I would

Somewhere
Hcigar KayFun 3.1 and you won't go wrong.
I have not tried an EHpro, but I am sure the build quality is decent from what I have seen
I still recommend the HCigar Kayfun 3.1

There is no need for sub ohm's using it, in fact, I would advise against it.
If you are going to sub ohm,, stick with drippers. Sub Ohm'ing is not advised however at all.

between 1.5 and 1.8 and a bit of cotton wick and you will get all the flavor you want.
And they work great on a Provari.

If you are cloud chasing, that is a different story.

As for the Z-Atty-Pro, I personally don't like the Genny's.

So far, the Kayfun 3.1 has been the best Vape I have ever gotten.

Thanks everyone. I just ordered a Z Atty to try out. Going to also order a kayfun and mess around with the two of them. I know I can get kanthal wire online but I am new at this and this might be a dumb question but can I get kanthal wire at a store like home depot or can I only order it online. Provape site did not have any on there, so I was either going to order from somewhere else or just run to home depot. I know the z atty comes with some but I wanted to order extra. What kind do you recommend, If my memory is correct there is 325 and 400? Not sure what the difference is in the two if someone can lend their expertise that would be great. Thanks :)

Temco is a great place for kanthal online. You can get a 100 ft spool for pretty cheap. A lot of people use 28 gauge kanthal. Seems to be a good balance for longevity and the time it takes to heat the coil. The higher the gauge, the thinner it is. The thinner it is, the less coils you'll have to wrap to reach your goal for resistance and the faster it'll heat up. Of course, the thinner it is, the more often you'll have to recoil. I'm less familiar with mesh, but from what I hear the higher the better? I've seen it sold online at pretty much any vape vendor's website, but I don't know who has the best deal.

Started with genesis attys and loved every moment. You really get a lot of building experience with them which is great. Some actually use cotton in genny but mesh is the best. It is a little tricky and will take alot of time to be able make consistent builds but it will be well worth it. A mesh genny is an awesome vape that's hard to beat. I always preferred 500 mesh to any other. As far as wicking the 500 is king. Before the 500, there was the 400 and 325. The higher the number, the finer the holes in mesh and quicker it wicks. Some say the 325 worked better with thicker juices but never really found a correlation. As for the wires, I would say 28g.

The higher the gauge number, the less wraps it will take to get the same resistance. I'll use five wraps of 32 gauge to get ~1.8 ohms, eight wraps of 30 gauge to get the same 1.8 ohm resistance.
Kanthal A-1 Wire Specs: (Ohms Per Inch)
•28 AWG- 0.439 Ohms/in, 0.0508 Diameter (in.)
•30 AWG- 0.696 Ohms/in, 0.0100 Diameter (in.)
•32 AWG- 1.091 Ohms/in, 0.0080 Diameter (in.)
•33 AWG- 1.383 Ohms/in, 0.0071 Diameter (in.)
•34 AWG- 1.758 Ohms/in, 0.0063 Diameter (in.)

Thanks for the table. That is really helpful. I was doing 3-5 wraps and kept getting 1.3 or a LO reading and provari will not fire up. I will try it again with 8 wraps. I hope that will do the trick. What do you use to wick? I have this braided silica stuff I ordered when I ordered the kayfun lite. Is it better to just use cotton or are they similar and I just had to mess with both and see what my preference would be.
