Anyone on here that owns the iTaste MVP ( version 1 ) or even the version 2 can in fact put rebuildable atomizers on them. Yes they will fire them. First thing you may need to do is get a push pin or a paper clip and pull up the firing pin so it will make contact with the bottom of the atomizer. I have ONLY used single coils on my IGO W-4 and went as low as .82 ohms, YES SUBOHM! Fired fine. Yes I have tried twisted 28 gauge kanthal that read .85 ohms but the coil would not get hot enough, why I dont know. Yes microcoils work great. If you want top performance I would build a coil at or around 1.2-1.4 ohms. Yeah mine fired at .82 ohms but I dont think it performed well enough as if it were on a mod with a 30 amp battery. I have only used 30 and 28 gauge kanthal so far and have not built dual coils yet. As far as wicks, I only use ORGANIC cotton. I tried silica but wasn't as good as the cotton ( my opinion ).

NOTE: Yes your battery will die faster versus using 1.8-2.5 ohm coils.

Hope this helps some iTaste MVP owners

The MVP's have a 3.5 amp limit.

This means that while it will fire a coil as low as 0.8 ohms, it will only fire it at 2.8 volts in order to keep below 3.5 amps of current. It doesn't matter if you have it set to 3.3 volts, 5.0 volts, or anywhere in between. You'll only get 2.8 volts out of it.

In order to get the full range of adjustability, you need at least a 1.5 ohm coil. Personally, I've settled on 2.0 ohm microcoils for my MVP -- 30 gauge Kanthal, 3/64" drill bit, 10 wraps or so, cotton wick.
