I have an Atlantis tank that I really like, but I go through coils like crazy. Over the past several weeks I have been trying to rebuild the old coils--both the old style and new style--with no success. I have watched several videos on the subject, and the mechanics of it are not difficult, but they just don't work. Burnt taste no matter how I wick the darn things. Anyone have any success with rebuilding these coils and could share some secrets or tips?

I have rebuilt quite a few of them before I found the Crius tank. Rolling the cotton around the coil before you put in back in the sleeve is the key, IMHO. You can not pack to much cotton in or it will not wick right. When I first started rebuilding them, I had the same problem. I used just a little over 1 wrap of cotton, thinly matted, and placed coil back into the sleeve. Almost not worth the hassle. Switched to the Crius tank and make my own coils, much easier!

I successfully rebuilt my first Atlantis coil today actually, and by successfully I mean it wicked properly and didn't get dry hits, but it definitely wasn't as good as the prebuilt ones. Basically I just tried to replicate the old coil that I pulled out as close as I could. My biggest problem was wrapping the cotton, I got it as best I could but it still slid out and blocked off part of the airflow when I slid it into the sleeve, I decided that the only use I have for it is as a last resort as I can vape on it, but it's just not as enjoyable
