Hello vapers,

This is my first post, so sorry if anything is not right, and sorry for my bad english :)

I got my Aspire BDC, used it on Vision Spinner and Ego C-twist till the wicks got burnt, so I decided to rebuild it. Didn't have no resistance wire, neither any of silica wire, but i had 100% cotton pads, that i use for cleaning my face :D
Took everything apart, didn't touch coils, just took out burnt silica and put in some cotton, put everything back together(I spent like 2hours :|) and it was working good, although it had strange taste probably from cotton, I was happy vaping it and after 30minutes all of the cotton was burnt...
I decided to try again, took everything apart, straightened the old original coil and did a rebuild(using the same wire) 5 wraps on a 2mm drill bit, double coil, again i put some cotton and put everything back together.
It worked fantastic, gave me lots of vapor, good taste(didn't even have any strange taste from cotton) and again after 30 minutes of vaping, all of the cotton was burnt away :/

Now question time:
Why did my cotton get burnt so fast? Can I even use cotton on such small coils, how much of cotton should i use? Can i blame the old resistance wire?

Thanks, for reading my post, don't laugh if i wrote something stupid, it was my first time rebuilding stuff like this :)

I rebuild these, as well as the BVC's. from what it sounds like, you'll need to pick up some kanthal (I use 30 gauge), a 2mm/5/64ths drill bit or something similar, and check this vid out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuvA65u6T-Y. That should get you going in the right direction. Hope that helps!

P.S. I use rayon for the wick, IMHO works much better than cotton ;)
