Seriously, from a seller's perspective. Cartos and attys usually come in plastic wrappers. So a seller opens one up and find that it does not meet the customer's specification. What is he/she gonna do with it? They could write one off but what if after 10 they still can't find 1 that is suitable what are they gonna do with the 10? Going back to manufacturer probably won't help cos they would probably throw some QC docs at the supplier which says that this batch passed the checks so his argument is invalid.
Going back to the vivi nova, if u have opened one up, 1 would realized that the coils are made from 1 single piece of nichrome with no NR wires. Which means that there is more room for deviations. Whereas on a conventional atty there are NR wires leading to the coils itself hence deviation is smaller.
Valid point there. Hopefully the QC is not as bad as what you have said.
I guess we will just have to live and let live.
