Boo. Yah. I knew origami would pay off somehow!

First two tries and I have a good-as-new nova and mini nova. Awesome!

What I did:
** Watched pbusardo's video, many times.
** Checked this out: ViVi Nova Atomizer Rebuild - Imgur
** Bought 32ga kanthal A1 and 3mm silica wick.
** Used a single strand and 4/5 wraps using that website's paperclip/gator clips idea... but not the NR wire part.
** Did it like pbusardo after that (awesome video)
** Used a razor blade to really get those wires cut as close to the head as possible

I checked both with a multimeter, but I think it's not giving good readings. 2.4 ohm heads were testing at 3.6-4.0, and 2.8 ohm heads 4.5-5. Gotta buy something simpler with a 510 connection. I got about 5 when I checked the rebuilt head, so I took that as "good enough" that it wasn't shorting.

Dry burn with a battery that has short protection. Red! Burn with a couple drops of juice. Vapor! It wasn't much, but in retrospect I had the voltage too low.

Put it all together and it feels like the 2.8-3.0 range, in that I find the same voltage with the same juice to be where I like it.

No burning rubber that I can detect. I think clipping the ends with the razor helps with that.

If anyone is on the fence about trying this, do it! Even like this, with no fancy wicks or coils--as simple as I could--I think anyone would find it at least on par with a stock head. Use the paperclip and tape or clip the wick to it and wrap that sucker as tight as you can and it's just right when you take the paperclip out. Check for resistance and do a dry burn and you're safe. It's totally easy, really.
