Rebuilt ProTank Atomizer Head

Wasn't sure where to put this, so I put it here. Feel free to move this if you feel the need mods. So I saw a GrimmGreen video where he rebuilt the Kanger ProTank atomizer head. I decided to do it myself, it was really simple. Here is the video. I found that after I had rebuilt it, the metallic spoon in your mouth taste was gone. I always thought it was the mouth piece, but maybe Kanger uses nichrome and it gives off that metallic taste. I also used the extra piece of wick and laid across the top of the coils like Kanger originally does, when I left it off it flooded. If you like to tinker with stuff, go ahead and try this, it improved my ProTank. By the way, I used 32 gauge kanthal and wrapped it 4 or 5 times, I don't remember, it is sitting right at 2.8 ohms.

I never had a "Metalic" taste with my protank using stock heads.

Nick did a piss poor job on that rebuild. Why the hell would you cut the wire legs before reinstalling the grommet and positive post? The coils are all cattywampus and touching the metal housing. It's no wonder he's not satisfied with the performance he's getting.

If you use cotton for the wick, it will expand and keep your protank from flooding, no need for the flavour wick. I also agree with Face Meat, tried emulating the Grim Green video and I had all sorts of trouble, Used Mr. Meats tutorial and success! Thank you FACE MEAT.

Same here with the rebuilt coils using cotton ball on T3 and Evod, cotton fills viod and doesn't need the flavor wick.
Also, once rebuilt with 32 kanthral it's easy to pull out the old wick, dry burn, and reinsert new cotton wick.
Saves a recoil!
