This was just rewicking, using the old dual coil

After watching several intructional vids, article on doing this, finally gave it a try.

The ohm reading based on whats being read by my mod is still inconsistent. Some was 2ohm, 2.2, some was 1.5ohm LOL.

I used 34 kenthal, wrapped 6-7 times.

Then use a surgical cotton through the coil, and a wick (forgot the name) on top of it. Still didnt bother to try doing a dual coil, I think this is more than sufficient.

Now I can save money from buying new kanger coils. Plus rebuilding it was very fun!

All coils wrapped exact amount of wraps they should be the same. Wires or coils hitting or to close to the sides can change ohms readings. Dry burn before wicking can bring coils to true reading. wick and ohms read again. If one is off a little I get a flashlight and move coil over a touch more to centre and they read the same as others.

I have been rebuilding all my coils also..For the last couple of weeks . Did just the protank 2 and then I did a kanger aerotank and so far so good. I get about 1.5 or so with mine using 28 wire. Just got a russian 91% and finally just fixed my leaking issue..I gave it a couple of days before I fixed it as I wanted to throw it out the window..lol but it is fun to build something and have it work also, gives ya a big smile when you accomplish it

You can make a cotton flavour wick aswell, silica isn't needed at all. :)
When i rebuild my aero tank coils i've to make a small flavour wick out of cotton to fill out the empty gap.
is that what you do to stop the flooding? i just did my first rebuild, coil was bouncing from 2 to 5 ohms. took it out redid a single coil and it stayed about 1.8 but continuous flooding.

I always put a "wicking" cotton on top of my builds it eliminates flooding for me, just gonna have to play around with the amount you use inside the coil and on top to get the performance you're looking for. Tight cotton in the coil gives a tight draw for me, loose but not falling out is where i like to be with my cotton. (remember cotton expands when wet)
