My 1st order was shipped Dec. 21st priority mail and I finally got it yesterday. I'm sure priority doesn't usually take 6 days, but between holiday shipping and the bad weather/tornadoes down south on Christmas Day, that's what it took.

I had been planning to go DIY for some time, so I had completely run out of the juice that I like (really bad planning on my part). So I had been vaping up samples I didn't like for several days (yuck).

Needless to say, as soon as I ripped that package open, I whipped up 4 5ml samples -- watermelon, cantaloupe, juicy peach, & pear. I immediately filled up a clearo with watermelon -- too desperate to let it steep first. Well, it was delicious. I've now tried the other 3 and all turned out great. John threw in a free sample of tutti-frutti, so I made a batch of that today. I'm especially loving the pear, and it just might replace my all-day watermelon vape (at least for today, LOL). I am, once again, in vaping heaven.

Basically I used 10% flavoring + 1 drop (0.5%) EM in all the batches. I did add an extra drop of EM to the juicy peach to make it just a tad bit sweeter.

My 2nd order of about 40 more flavors just shipped today, can't wait to try them.

Hi Moonstruck -

We have to compare flavor lists. I have about 36 flavors from WL. I like tobaccos a lot and I am having pretty good luck with my tobacco bases. I have been adding flavors into the tobaccos that are already steeped to change the flavors up and try new things.

I like the Strawberry, Strawberry-kiwi, cantaloupe, apple, and I put in about 10% fruit and 5% ethyl malto.

I have the Juicy Peach but haven't tried it yet. How do you like it.

So far, I'm loving all the ones I made. I thought fruits would be easier, so that's what I started with since I love vaping my fruits. I am surprised the juicy peach really does taste like a fresh peach. I like the tutti-frutti as well, but since I have never eaten that candy, not sure if that's what it tastes like. To me it almost tastes like juicy fruit gum.

I placed a big order for more flavors before I even got the 1st order, LOL. It shipped today. Here's what I ordered:

Banana Nut Bread (TFA)
Bavarian Cream (TFA)
Brown Sugar (TFA)
Butterscotch (TFA)
Cherry Blossom Concentrate (TFA)
Coconut Extra Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Coffee Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Double Chocolate Clear (TFA)
Double Chocolate Dark (TFA)
Double RY4
English Toffee (TFA)
Grape Juice Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Hazelnut Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Honey Dew (TFA)
Irish Cream (TFA)
Koolada (TFA)
Mint Candy (TFA)
Mocha Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Orange Cream (TFA)
Pecan Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Pina Colada Flavor Concentrate (TFA)
Pineapple (TFA)
Strawberries & Cream (TFA)
Sweet Cream (TFA)
Vanilla Bourbon (TFA)
Vanilla Cupcake (TFA)
Vanilla Swirl (TFA)
Whipped Cream (TFA)
Wintergreen (TFA)

It looks like a lot, but bet I find something else that I just have to try, LOL.

I'm especially looking forward to making some creamy-type juices. :D

Magikhat, I used 36 mg nic solution 70/30 PG/VG. I used the ejuicemeup calculator to determine the amounts. I'm not that picky about PG/VG ratios, just want enough VG for the better vapor production. But I used 100% PG for a couple of years without any problems. I think the next time I need to order nic solution, I'm going to get the 60 mg. Not sure why I was afraid of it, but the process was way, way easier than I expected it to be. I did prefer using syringes to the pipettes -- I had a hard time filling the pipettes for some reason.

Congrats!! There is nothing like that first series of successes! You made a wise choice in trying fruits first. They are the easiest to get the flavor percentages correct on, and they require the least steeping. You will be surprised how much better they will taste over time as they age.
Good Future Success!!!

Thank you -- and good advice. But I don't think these 1st batches are going to last long enough to age.

Hazelnut Flavor Concentrate (TFA) -- Got that one
Honey Dew (TFA)
Irish Cream (TFA)
Koolada (TFA)

Vanilla Cupcake (TFA) - I like that one
Vanilla Swirl (TFA)
Whipped Cream (TFA) - I'm afraid to try that one. I don't know why.

Geez, TFA has a lot of flavors. I don't even have half of the flavors you have even though I have almost the same number total:)

I love pineapple! But unfortunately, the last time I bought it, it was so intense I couldn't vape without coughing my head off. Just too acidic, I guess. I'm hoping to come up with the right % + maybe add some cream.

I also love coffee vapes. Wanted to order the caramel capuccino, but it was out of stock. Now I see the WL website is down until they can catch up with all the orders. So I lucked out getting my order in when I did. ;)

I think the Cherry Blossom is a great vape at 15%, but it does need to air out to overcome the perfume smell.

I like it at 15% too with 5-10% ethyl maltol. Mine doesn't have any perfume taste at all.
I think that depending on what portion our bottles are filled from his big vat of flavor the actual flavorings we get will differ some.
(I don't know if he really has a vats of flavors, I'm just guessing xD)

Have you tried sweetcream flavor yet? I think it tastes buttery. I tried it at 10% with 8% blueberry wild and it was too much.
I would keep it at less than 5%

Haven't tried it yet (2nd order not rec'd yet), but I've heard others say that too. Maybe I should mark the bottle "tastes like butter" so I don't forget.

I've been collecting ejuice recipes for about 4 or 5 months, so it's going to be hard to decide which ones to make first. I love vanilla custard, but I haven't ordered that flavor yet. And can't wait to try my recipes for buttery nipple & strawberry cream. And pina colada. Haha, guess I better stop now.

Today I ordered extra 5ml plastic dripper bottles from RTS & a few 30ml cobalt glass bottles. Also ordered 10ml dropper bottles from EcigExpress. The prices were very reasonable at both places.

I've spent way more than I intended on this new hobby, but I think I'm now set for about a year's worth of vaping, LOL. I'll have to order more nic solution & PG in a couple of months, but otherwise I am set.

The TFA list is incomplete that is on this forum.
I would recommend to read reviews here. Perfumers Apprentice - Professional Flavors

The reviewers can give good tips about the flavoring % that is best if you cannot find it on the forum list.
Only 1 problem I found, different people like it at different %
I will probably just shoot for the inbetween of the recommended %

I'm just starting my DIY experience and will place my first order before Monday. I am ordering a 50/50 base ejuice, a few 10ml bottles, Peppermint and Cappuccino from The Flavor Apprentice and a 10ml syringe for measuring.

You'll love it! It's way easier than it looks. I'm brand new to it myself and even though my first batches are simple ones to make, they are way better than any I've bought in these flavors.

You might want to get a small syringe as well - like 1ml or 3ml. Some people like using the pipettes for small amounts, but they didn't really work out all that great for me. Now I'm just counting drops for my flavors. I transferred my flavors to drip bottles, and it works out to 32 drops/ml.
