Got my mini tanks in the mail today and I agree they really are cute!

I loaded up my caramel capp in one and decided to try it.

It burnt my juice almost immediately and was so hot, I couldn't do more than a 3 second draw.

Moved it over to the VV and turned it down all the way but still hot.

Am I doing something wrong?

I am a little out of sorts tonight anyway because I told you about our 16 year old dog last week being in bad shape.

He passed about an hour ago.

My husband is really hurting because that was his faithful companion since day one.

We are going to have him cremated tomorrow.

He was just such a big part of our lives, but he was seizing and having trouble breathing so I put my hand on his head and asked God to take him and not let him suffer.

Fifteen minutes later he was gone.

Anyway, just had to share that with you.

sorry to hear cindy, loss of pets can be really hard when there is such unconditional two way love and no bad feelings mixed in with good feelings, like there is with a typical human relationship. I still think about patting my childhood dog, and it gives me great joy to think about the fun we had together.
time really does heal wounds, you'll never forget the good times, and the pain will fade. My thoughts are with you and your partner.
and I can't answer your mini tank question, I don't have any.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Cindy, I could only imagine how I would feel if my dogs were gone:-(. Pets are a big part of any family, Their like children to us pet lovers. Hope you and your husband are doing good.

As for your mini tank issue, are you keeping the wicks wet? They don't hold much juice and depending on how you vape the wicks might be getting dry at the coil. I would always roll/spin the g6 around to keep them wet. When you take a toot off it, I would tilt my g6 upward a little to keep the wicks wet when I took a hit. Hopefully this might help you out. Once again, my condolences to you and your family.

I am very sorry for your loss Cindy.

And like Aviationrich, I agree with what he said. Also some juices are thicker and don't wick as well. I have one horny juice I only use it in my Triton because it is dark and thick and doesn't want to wick well in the mini tanks. I hate to waste anything so when I have a juice in my mini tank that doesn't want to wick well I will add a few drops of filtered water to thin it a bit.

Thank you everyone for caring enough to post.

We just got back from the vet who handles the cremation and I feel like I am in a daze.

I got no sleep last night, so I think I will lay down and try to at least nap.

I will be back on here later this afternoon.

Thanks again guys! You always make me feel better.

Cindy, I'm so sorry for your loss.

As my avatars infer, I love dogs. Having to say goodbye to them is heartwrenching. Even now, after 6 years, I get a bit verklempt.

It hurts, and it'll hurt for a while, the healing takes time. What helped me the first coupla days was doing something a little different. Go out to lunch or dinner. Not a celebration, but the change of venue I thought helped. And I tried to forget about the last week, and just talked about the other 14 years!

(and I'm glad the thought of having a smoke hasn't even entered in!!!! For that, congrats. And true fact, a cig will make everything worse.)

To the mini tanks, Belgian or VooDoo (or I'll say any thick dark overly sweet) is NOT good in the mini. Malibu is good in it, as is Twas Brillig.

For me, the mini's were fun, easy to grab if you didn't have a clean big tank, but needed to change up. It's nice to try another coil/wick system. It makes me appreciate how good the Triton tanks are, with the nice draw and the mondo clouds.

My thoughts and prayers to ease your pain are with you, Cindy.

It's OK, Amanda. IIRC, Cindy is an AiV customer, also. And I did say Twas is cool in a mini tank.

And I have no idea why Twas is so unlike the others. Halo has their outliers as well, like Belgian, Malibu, Southern, that break away from the pack. I'll hafta go see how Twas did in the bakery category. (And I think it's ok to talk about it here, cause Halo doesn't have any bakery)

Maybe it was formulated by a different mixologist. Sort of like how different George Harrison songs are on an album full of Lennon/McCartney.

I am so so so can't type that enough sorry about your loss. I lost my 15 years collie/chow mix. They just become such a huge part of your soul nevermind your life. I miss him just as much to this day. The best thing you can do is vent to us, we can relate. I'm always here to PM if you have any questions that tend to arise during these times. Good luck with everything.

before i got my most recent troublemakers, i had a beautiful Australian Cattle Dog named Pepper. She was only 5 when she had a very sudden brain swell and i had her put down to ease her suffering. Smartest living creature i've ever known, way smarter than me (ok, not a huge challenge), and fiercely loyal.

A friend sent me this:

Before humans die, they write their Last Will & Testament, give their home and all they have to those they leave behind.
If, with my paws, I could do the same, this is what I’d ask…
To a poor and lonely stray, I’d give my happy home, my bowl and cozy bed, my soft pillows and all of my toys.
The lap which I loved so much, the tender, loving touch. The hand that stroked my fur and the sweet voice that called my name.
I’d will to the sad, scared shelter dog, the place I had in my human’s loving heart of which there seemed no bounds.
So, when I die, please do not say “I will never have a pet again for the loss and pain is more than I can stand”, instead, go find an unloved dog. One who’s life has held no joy or hope and give my place to him.
This is the only thing that I can give, the love I left behind.
This is MY LAST WILL & TESTAMENT.

Two days later, i had Jazz and Daisy terrorizing my place. and it was great.

Jazz can jump over a 7 foot high fence....but he never does because that would mean leaving Daisy behind. Daisy is like most women i know, way to good for me. But she sticks around, mostly for cheese i suspect.

That's is beautiful .........(double checks poster).........Wheezal. Such a true heartfelt sentiment. It makes me tear up just thinking of all the pets put to sleep each year that never found a loving home.

Thank You so much for your kind words.

I does make me feel better.

Been thinking of some funny stories, just thought I would share.

When we were moving from Kansas to Nebraska, it was in August and it was really hot.

I drove one car, my BIL drove the Ryder truck and hubby drove his little Ford.

Well the air quit in hubby's car shortly after we got on the road and Brett(his dog) was with him in the passenger seat.

Hubby stopped and got a bag of ice and held it over the dog's head to keep him cool.

Guess you had to be there but it was funny.

The same week we got him, we had to go out of town so we took him with us.

He was so little! (His father was a Jack Russell Terrier, his mother was a miniature greyhound.)

It was about a 3 hour drive and we stopped about halfway to get gas.

I had fallen asleep with Brett beside me on the seat.

We couldn't find him!

Then I heard a little squeak.

He was so little, he had fallen down in between the seats on his back and couldn't get out!

I felt really bad about that one but he really wasn't unhappy about it or anything, I think he was just ready to get out!

On another trip to the same place, we stopped at a gas station (same one every time) and he had a dog bone and buried it in the dirt at the edge of the gas station's pavement.

The next time we made the trip and stopped at this gas station, he ran right over to that same spot and dug up his bone!

He acted like it was the normal thing to do, but we thought it was amazing!

He also used to go to hubby's shop with him every Saturday morning.

I sewed him a dog pillow using 101 Dalmations material and he loved it.

He would run around the shop begging for food from the other guys, then he would go take a nap on his pillow.

I think we have some pics of that, if I can find them I will post. (Maybe I can even get them right side up! LOL)

Ok, I've bored you enough with my stories.

He really was a special dog.

Tried my mini tanks again and I really like them! Thanks DaveOno, no more Caramel Capp in the mini tanks!

Think I will order more next week!

I am going to try Twas Brillig in one now, will let you know later if I liked it.

Cindy
