forcedfuel50...Also, out of curiousity, what size battery does the V3 take?

The V3 takes two Tenergy Life PO4 RCR123A 3.V batteries for 6V vaping and the AW 17670 battery for 3V. The V3 looks a little smaller in the picture above but unfortunately I don't have a Precise to compare the two in person. Maybe the person who posted those pictures can tell us. Also, in the px it looks like there's an adapter of some kind sticking out of the top of the V3, as the 510 sinks down a bit so it's flush with the device.

The P18 takes a 18650. The V3 takes a 17670. Being 1mm of difference between the two batteries, that should be about 1mm extra on opposite sides if measuring width which should make it 2mm thicker. But eyeballing it, the Precise is about 1.5mm thicker than the V3. So basically, it's little thicker, but you get another 1000mAH when using the recommended AW brand batteries with both devices. The V3 is a 901 model. That's why the adapter is sticking up. Here's a pic of the tubes with batteries in them. As you'll see, they are both pretty great fits. I should mention that the threads for the P18 cap are on the inside, and not the outside like the V3 which makes their closeness in size even more impressive.

speaking of the outside and inside threads...
The theads on the inside seem to be more durable IMO.
Example: a user reported dropping his V3 adapter onto tile floor and bent the adapter where it threads.
I'm not bashing the V3, a lot of people like it
But its these little things I really appreciate in a mod.

kudos on the design david.

Just for clarification, the V3 pictured here is a 901 model but mine is a 510, so the atty sinks down a little into the adapter, making the atty appear a little smaller.

I carry my Six and my V3 everywhere I go because they are IMHO without a doubt the best PV's I've owned. If David ever makes a Six with a locking button like the V3 has, I'll be the first to order it! These models are superior because they're all mechanical. I just can't see anything going wrong with them that we can't fix ourselves (getting new springs, screws, O-rings, etc) and that's a real plus for the manufacturer too because he won't be getting them back all the time for repairs.

Did I mention that when David makes the Six with a simple locking button I'll be the first to pre-order? I love having the choice to either do 3 or 6V vaping and the Six is the perfect size device. You'll never see my Six's on Classifieds.

I'm really not trying to pressure David into making a Six with a bottom button just like the V3's and that locks. Really! Not.

The only device I personally own that has ever gone off during transport is my MKI screwdriver, but it has 100gr spring. IOW it is effortlessly activated.

If we look at the V3 with the light spring, the weight of the unit activates the unit. Whilst the SD MKI might have a 100gr spring, the weight of the unit will not activate it.

I have now found a use for the carrying pouch from the SD, P18 has a storage pouch :D

first impressions will follow some today or tomorrow. I haven't tried it yet at HV, that will be the tale as I do not have another device to compare it at 3.7V using a 18650 batt. For folks that have been following my journey, ya all know a 3.7V device is a 3.7V device when using the same batt and atty. It is the physical attributes that make the device not the engine per se. I purchased an all mechanical device. That is what I got. The finish is flawless, seamless and above all it is Made in USA ;)

I was a little disapponted however that mine didn't have a one of a kind ding, dent or scratch. I guess I wasn't special :lol::lol: or maybe Dave just doesn't like me as he sent me one that will look like everyone elses :(
