Did some testing (both Taster's Choice version (wow, am I dating myself there?) and multimeter) and as Switched suggests it does seem to be exactly this issue. I found a few old magnetic spacers and ported the AW battery over to the OmeGa and tried it there as well. I'm still stuck on the P18 (Its just a more pleasing mod to me) but my wife is appreciating the better battery in her device as well.
Even the red and black Ultrafire at 3000mAh only push 4.5A, 3.9A for the 2600s, compared to 5.2A for the AW 2600s. I am glad Dave designed the P series with AWs in mind :)

here's pics of mine next to a KR808 280mah battery. i chose a stainless top, venting for 3.0 batteries, and a brass bottom, but bought an spare stainless bottom. I love the mix and match ability!

with a gray trustfire 18650, you can't really notice the venting. Gave it a good clean today and noalox'n and it's like new again. hits like a tank every time :p

Seriously agreed. Its only been a few days but just wow. Excellent product built around an excellent battery. Every time I pick it up its like holding a little piece of awesome.

Precise: Forged in the fires of Awesome.

moral of the story.
everyone loves their precise.

if you don't have one......put one....or two on order.

every mod that I've had...I've found a few minor gripes or something I would change in the design.
so far this hasn't happened with the precise....its simply perfect for me.

3586 received Oct 9th. Best I have ever tried!

Order # 3562 received today, Thank you very much for my p18 its better than I even expected. Super T does beautiful work, and the handwritten Thank You on the receipt is a very nice personal touch. Again, Thank You very much for putting such work into your product. It does not go unnoticed.

This is always nice to hear, it makes the time pass easier when i'm prepping them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Oh, and don't forget to pick up some Noalox for your switch contact post and top cap posts and threads.

Have a great weekend!!

Greetings: I am now the proud owner of a new P-18. Order # 3667 placed on October 5th arrived today. It is EXCEPTIONALLY well made and just as much an object of design art as it is and example of machinist skill. A beautiful device.

With "Noalox" in hand, I am impatiently awaiting the completion of the first battery charge. Now if I can only defy the laws of physics and safely bring them up to full capacity in twenty minutes. Next up on the horizon ~ the much anticipated Juice Feeder. OldDude1
