Hi All,

I just found out they changed the USB chargers, the old G6 USB chargers did say "g6" they now also say "halo", the text of the halo on the G6 USB is slightly larger and both USB's do specify the output on the back in that teeny tiny writing...

My triton charger has a sticker on the bottom that reads:

USB charger
USB input: 5v DC .500mA
Output: 4.2v DC .420mA

Hope that helps. The top side just has a Halo logo.

Maybe your G6 adaptor doesn't have a G6 logo because it was made before they were added/the Triton was made? I don't have a G6 for comparison.

Hmmm, it would be nice if they do something a bit more obvious to differentiate the G6 USB charger from the Halo. Even a fairly knowledgeable user who has both kits (which probably isn't going to be uncommon) could easily grab the wrong charger...

Halo commendably went to great lengths to retain compatibility with the G6 to Triton, knowing that this would create a true upgrade path between the two systems...hope they don't drop the ball on something this minor, yet with the potential to cause users grief. Its one of those little customer-satisfaction areas that Halo normally excells at. My eyes are not what they used to be, but it would be a poor bet to count on users reading the fine print on the back side of the chargers.

I'm not sure why this change was made, trying to find out if this was just one order or if this is a permanent change.

What charger it is plugged into doesn't make a difference, correct? It is the USB adapter that matters. Once it is screwed into the adapter, the adapter should be able to be plugged into any USB port/charger, correct? If not, having a USB adapter would be kind of pointless, if it could only be used in a Halo USB charger.

Correct, the USB is the important part. As far as i know, both USB's can be used in any USB port. The confusion is between using the Triton USB to charge the G6 battery and the G6 USB to charge the Triton battery. Each battery has different requirements so the correct USB must be used or you may damage the batteries.

Technically it is a charger all on its own. You can use it with a wall charger/adapter or with the car charger/adapter or you can plug the usb directly into a computer usb port and it will charge your battery.

The G6 usb used to say "G6" on the front of it and the Trition USB has always said "halo" on the front. Each has a different output level that correlates with the needs of the different batteries. Since the G6 USB now says "halo" on the front of it people are getting them mixed up which can damage the batteries if they are being charged with the wrong USB, regardless of where the USB is plugged in.

I think the confusion stems from the Halo site calling the USB adapter a charger in the product page.

PM me and Ill see if I can help you out.

So it looks like it is too late for me. I let my Triton tank which I have had for about 1 week so far charge in my g6 charger overnight not knowing it can cause damage. And I notice it is just not pulling right, it feels so much weaker now then it did before and I even tried a fresh tank I have not used before to make sure it is not my tank. Does doing this once really break this? Is their nothing I can do to fix this? I put it back on the normal charger which is a static green color i believe meaning it is fully charged.

Do I just throw this out now and order a new one? Maybe they have a warranty policy? (Doubt it). It is the 1300 ohm charger.

Just got a new Triton USB adapter. Is there any reason why this one blinks red and blue while charging, then solid blue when the battery is fully charged? My other USB adapters blink red and green, then the green stays solid when the battery is fully charged. All have the correct input/output on the back for the Triton.

The batteries comes with a charge. Most folks begin using one, and throw the other on the charger. Always a good idea to have a fully charged battery as your backup.

My first Triton Battery from the mailbox, lasted about 6 hours. Most fully charged 650 mAh last me about 7 and I'm a fairly heavy vaper.

Also, please use the WALL ADAPTER to charge for best, fastest results. Only use the USB charger in a USB port as a last gasp option.

Most 650 mAh batteries will charge completely on the wall, from blinking shutoff, in about 3-4 hours.
