Hi Gang,

I hope everyone's weekend is going smashingly!

Looking for an rda and a couple of RTAs.

I want the RDA for tasting new/steeping juices not cloud chasing. I'm thinking single coil, <$10 and <18mm dia. Currently leaning toward smok UDA for it's size, ease of build and adjustable airflow.

Looking for two RTAs; one full-sized, one mini (max 19mm dia.). The mini gives me few options. Any suggestions? I'm leaning toward a Taifun/kayfun clone for the full-sized. What are the real differences between the two? My priorities are flavor, performance (non-leaking) and ease of build (single coil); in that order.

What say everyone?

Thanks!

A Magma is a good choice for a RDA
The Kayfun and the Taifun are very similar the Taifun is quite a bit bigger and has the same tank capacity.
I would lean more to the Kayfun. I like the Kayfun lite + version better than the 3.1 for the same reason.
A smal RTA the 2 best choices again are a Kayfun mini or a Taifun GS I have never tried either so can't offer a comment on them.

Regarding a dripper:

1. I have and love the Infinite Magma clone
2. Am waiting on a Vume Bell clone (this is a Plume Veil without the logos)
Plume Veil by Acerig VS Magma by Infinite?

Regarding the Taifun GS -- I have an HCigar clone and it works great. The only four drawbacks for me were:

1. Small airflow hole (and it's not adjustable). I prefer a more open airy draw.
2. The tank is not glass. I do not use "tank cracking" juice in it.
3. The posts do not have holes.
4. Not the easiest to re-wick. Watch a youtube video and you will see what I mean. However, the difficulty (for me) has more to do with a one-handed disability.

On the positive side:
1. It's size (can use it on my MVP & VTR's ) and it looks good.
2. Can refill without taking it all apart.

Even with all this said, I still use it even though I have many other tanks.

Just got into RDA's myself, but have rebuilt my protank coils numerous times. I bought a tobh 22mm with a chiyou mod. From ebay was very reasonable price(45 with battery, charger, and tip) to practice and get use to building different coils and using different wicking styles. I do recommend buying two batteries though as you can burn through one quickly.

The Taifun GT is superior to the kayfun in vape quality, but maybe a tad more difficult to coil/wick right. I got better flavor with a SS mesh wick.
For a kayfun though, I found the Kayfun 3.1 (from 101vape for $16) was a diamond in the rough. Better airflow, vape, and flavor over the KFL+, and half the price. Never a leak, easy to fill, easy to build. Unfortunately 101vape is out of stock on them at the moment.

I have the Infinite Magma clone and the Expromizer by exvape and I would recommend them both highly. -Don't get the glass tank on the Expro till they update the design, stick with stainless or plastic if you need a clear tank. I run mine in extended stainless mode 90% of the time cause I build low and it eats a lot of juice. The Expro can handle .5 well and I have had .45 dual coils on it more than once. She wicks so damn well.

I have the atomic clone 19mm RDA and I use this for tasting my homebrew juices. So quick and easy just rinse and rewick a single coil at desired ohm and your tasting a new flavor every 30 seconds.

I am waiting on a black Vume Bell clone (Plume Veil by Acerig without the logos) I expect this will match magma in flavor and give me additional cloudage, which is why I purchased it. I have a feeling that it might even creep ahead of the magma in flavor due to my own personal experiences with additional airflow near the top of an rba.

As far as a mini goes I have no experience with them so I will leave that question for those who are more experienced.

Avoid the Smok drippers, there's brass in the chamber on all of them, and you don't want that to get in contact with your juice. If you're willing to pay a bit more and get a 19-20mm dripper, go for an igo, the L for single coil, and W1, W4, or W5 for dual coil. They're timeless and are a perfect starter's dripper.

As far as a tank goes, I have a Kayfun 3.1 clone by EHPro. It's very, very easy to build on, just gotta get the wicking right. I've only had it leak on me once or twice but that's only because I'm using the top fill method with it. Flavor on it is very, very good.

Hope this helps!

Atomic is a fantastic RDA for flavor, and is in the size range you're looking for. EHPro's clone is pretty well made.

For tanks- Gotta go Kayfun. Nothing else gets used as much as my Kayfun does. If you have a VV/VW device that can go a little beyond 15 watts- even better. Still works fine on a mech too I suppose.

As far as Kayfun goes- Cigreen makes a great KFL+ clone, as do Tobeco and Infinite. I wouldn't trust Fasttech kayfuns though. I've had customers have endless issues with badly made Kayfuns from ebay and fasttech so make sure whichever one you go with is trusted and has some good reviews reaffirming it.
