(Comments not directed at any specific brand. )

My watermelon liquids all taste like artificially flavored watermelon candy...Jolly Rancher, to be exact.

My banana liquids all taste like artificially flavored banana candy...banana Nerds, to be exact, and I have 3 different brands that taste exactly the same.

My strawberry liquids taste like artificially flavored strawberry soda (and my strawberries and cream tastes like Nestle Strawberry Quick).

All the brands I've bought were advertized as "watermelon/banana/strawberry", not "watermelon/banana/strawberry candy".

I understand that e liquid employs artificial flavorings. I'm not bashing artificial-ness.

But are there any brands that use something...different? As in something not so immediately recognizable as the same old candy flavorings I've been tasting since I was a kid.

Banana, watermelon and strawberry are my main interests.

As far as I've learned about my taste, the fruit flavors I enjoy more tend to be a blend of various things. I tried a few "pure" flavors and very few were truly satisfying. I still have a few in my vape box, but it's rare that I get around to re-tasting them. Personally, I think the complexity lends itself well to vaping and does work to kind of mask the inherent imperfection of replicating flavor science.

A long term ADV for me has been Alien Vision's PG Hype...one of the first fluids I found that works really well in glass tanks. It's kind of peach melon thing, but to me it's just a chill tasty fruit thing that has stuck around. I went ape crazy over Nicoticket's Betelgeuse, but to my absolute dismay, I can't run it very often because it clogs my coils way too fast. I've also immensely enjoyed a number of fruit tobacco blends, particularly with banana and honey. There's a ton of combos out there and many of them work really well.

Anyway, just bring it up in case you might be interested in an alternate opinion. I'm sure there's others who might be able to provide you sage advice in finding pure flavors more than I. Good luck on your journey!

I've been vaping for over two years and tried quite a few flavors around the block. I have found the e-liquid vendors who do custom orders and who use all-natural, all-organic flavorings have the truest to the description taste.

Try Dripeez, who specialize in fruit flavors. The Golden Apple tastes like biting into a Golden Delicious apple. Her other flavors are also excellent.

Virgin Vapors also has very good fruit flavors, as does Copper Creek.

Interesting. It makes sense that complex mixes would work better. Perhaps with a single fruit flavor, my expectations are simply too high due to being intimately familiar with how both the real and artificial thing tastes.

I have some stuff called 'Thor'. I really like it. It's like a cantaloupe base topped with tropical fruits. The cantaloupe definitely dominates, and it's actually pretty close to real cantaloupe...mellow and not too sweet. Other than the aforementioned banana nerds, I can't make out the rest of the flavors, but they do work well together, probably because, as you said, they're complimenting each other instead of broadcasting their stand-alone candy-ness.

Thanks for your words of wisdom.

most of mine are fruit flavors and like you, I like it blended with something else and organic, I can taste artificial all day (have a great Rootbeer Float one but then I taste it all day, it's artificial)

Suicide Bunny's Madrina is my "love love love" it one, honeydew and supposedly some other melon flavors too..
Suicide Bunny's Mother's Milk, its strawberries and cream and delicious.
Vista Vapor's make it yourself Blueberry icecream and love it.
I did another razzleberry and strawberry mix with them and I have to cut with 1/2 custard and it's delish then.
Five Pawns Queenside, blood orange dreamsicle tasting thing, love it with my morning coffee.

we got Ed a KeyLime pie from Vista and if he'd put it down for five minutes I can snitch a couple vapes ..it's delish too.:p

Vape on and What not!!:)

I just picked up some juice last night by Canadian juicemaker, Funky Vapes (Funk Sauce). It is called "Manguavichee", and it is the first juice I have had that blew me away (I am still relatively new at this, though have tried 5 Pawns, and some other gourmet guys).
It is Guave, Mango, and Lychee.
Now I don't like sweet juices, also don't like lychee really. But I will likely rip through this juice.

Just to share an experience of mine. I made up a batch of banana and it was weird tasting; I also had a batch of strawberry that was very chemically tasting. And I didn't over flavor either it was just the way they tasted on their own. But on a whim i mixed them together (a BanaBerry if you will) and it tastes awesome. When I tried it I had to stop and look at the bottle and be sure this was the bottle I mixed them together in as all the odd tastes was gone from the final product. It is all about whose flavoring is being used as well. I have had some that are spot on and others that are not even close.

I am also a fruit lover, but I'm just a little different in that I prefer some fruit flavors such as blueberry to taste artificial. I love fruit, but natural blueberry isn't one of them :p

With that said, I know this isn't in your list of preferred fruits but you should check out Conjure by Mastermind. Prior to steeping it tastes like a blowpop. However after a week or two of steeping... it's a heavenly berry mix. I usually stick to single flavors from MBV. But this is literally the only thing I've found so far where the taste made up for the price.

It might be available at a B&M for you to try.
