I have had the hot cinnamon for a few weeks now. I still haven't found a good use for it. I thought it would taste more like a candyish big reddish style but it tastes more like I shoved a cinnamon stick in my mouth. It doesn't taste right mixed alone, so I was wondering what everyone else mixed there's with?? Not hating on the cinnamon :) just wondering what would be good to mix it with.

EDIT: I guess it's cinnamon, not the hot version. I suppose that would make a difference, but the question still remains :)

Hmm, maybe mixed with Caramel or with French Roast Coffee? I'm thinking of a Starbucks drink with cinnamon and nutmeg sprinkled on top.

You are right on it with the taste-- more cinnamon stick than red hot. This is because we do not use any oils, as opposed something like Lorann's Cinnamon Roll, which does have the candy taste, but also has cinnamon oil in it.

Thanks! Sounds like a great idea :)

You could try it with the Candy Cane juice.
It has that candy, minty (almost hot) flavor.

I wonder what turns the cinnamon into the "Hot Tamale" candy flavor?

maybe even a little cinnamon in the Menthol? Hmmmmm. I'll mix up a small batch of menthol with cinnamon when I get home and try that.
If I don't report back it's probably a good sign that it wasn't what I was looking for. LOL

It's very hard to get a "Red Hot" type cinnamon flavor without using cinnamon OIL. We do not allow any type of oils in our flavoring (except trace amounts from the extraction process.) As a result, our cinnamon tastes like cinnamon and not candy. We called this one "Hot" because it was the most intense we could find that met our criteria.

BTW - It rocks hard when combined with Juicy Java or French Roast! And, as suggested, a touch of menthol kicks it up nicely.
