Recommendation For New User

I've been asked to recommend an e-cig for my cousin by his parents, who are interested in getting him one for his birthday next month (he's already expressed an interest after seeing and trying my mother's).

Normally, I'd do the same as I did with my mother--start with an analog look-alike, upgrade when you find the battery power to be totally inadequate. That took both of us about four days. For heavy smokers, that would differ.

He's a very heavy smoker, has bipolar disorder (so many people with mental illness seem to smoke!), and loses things constantly. Any PV I recommend is likely to get misplaced, never to be seen again. He's strongly dependent on his parents for support as well, so I don't want to cost them a fortune if I can avoid it.

In this case, I'm tempted to recommend the cheapest battery I can, a cig-lookalike as they tend to be inexpensive, except that he'll have to carry multiples which means a higher probability of losing multiples at a time. I've already added a lanyard to the list to reduce the probability of loss.

Any ideas?

One of my favorite starter kits, and one I recommend a lot is the RIVA 510 from Liberty-Flights. 20% off your whole order! There are several versions (attys, cartos, etc.) so shop around a little, but you can't beat their prices, and I actually like Rivas at least as much as I like eGos....maybe more. Be sure to click on the 20% off at the top left of the home screen; that will drop 20% off all the prices. You'll see how cheap some of their kits are. Until I moved to mods, I ALWAYS shopped Liberty-Flights, and loved their Rivas. Can't go wrong there.

Good luck.

For me any look a like cig will not satisfy me ..and I was a heavy smoker believe me , still a heavy vaper though :).. I would go for an ego type you can have lots of options like cartos , tanks and you name it..it can take a lanyard aswell... Money wise .. Well you can buy them separate , like 1 single battery + charger + cartos -tanks whatever ... Very cheap with 25 dollars your vaping..

Good luck mate

Well I would recomend this starter with a lanyard so he does not have to carry many Ego Mini

** Edit **
Oh, I should have mentioned I have stared about 5 people with these and they love them. Not to mention it is a good expansion rig since the stardust can easily replace the head and wick assembly cheap. Good luck helping him get started vaping and off the analogs.

I also recommend the kgo and the lanyard sounds like a great idea. Is he patient? He might do ok refilling his own cartridges. the kgo comes with 5 empties but its a good idea to get him some more. If he is Ok with refilling the juice is pretty good and cheap from ec blend. ecblend.com. I am recommending the cartridges just based on economics.. If he loses his setup it will be one thing that is not expensive to replace.

Other wise - a stardust or other tank is probably a better option so he does not have to carry much or any extra gear. less to lose.
