Recommended RDAs?

I don't have one but I'd say a spiffy looking heat reducing fins Are paramount for the tobh. I'm a flavor ....., I run builds around 0.30ohm ish and I think the tobh is too big in regards to chamber volume to be any good on the flavor department, thus the fanclub of tobh cloud chasers, trust me, I need a big thick dense cloud but I get that and don't sacrifice flavor for a little bit more cloud. That being said the number one most important thing about an atty to me is the chamber volume, directly correlates to flavor. That's why I just bought a magma, we'll see how it goes is big, I think but I'm going to find out how big air circulation effects flavor.

I just picked up a Vulcan last weekend and have been loving it. If you want super airy draws, maybe not the best for you, but the flavor is awesome.

Tobhs design has influenced a lot of newer attys. heat sync in top, negative posts milled into the deck, deeper juice well (defiantly not the deepest, and not the first, but after the tobh, more seem to be coming with a deeper juice well).
The airflow on it also makes it a bit more for cloud chasers. Typical attys have the single hole design, and you control your draw by selecting a larger or smaller hole. With the tobh it's just more holes exposed, allowing for better coverage of your coil. A lot of the Airier draw RDAs have the slotted air holes, which is different, but not bad. I think the tobh gives more pressure of air on the coil with the air hole design it has, keeping it cooler.
It's not a bad atty, but my big block clone gets much better flavor!

I've only a TOBH. And it is airy. Even with two holes closed.

I used my Protank with aerobase yesterday and boy did it feel tight compared to the TOBH.

I really do like it. Still trying to get more flavor. It's taking some experimenting. But I'll get there I'm sure.

Indeed. I'll will say this, I got a super wide bore friction fit delrin drip tip and it helped out the airflow a lot. You can blow clouds.

And, a dual parallel 5 wrap 26g is a perfect build.

The Tobh is geared more towards flavor, not so much vapor. The way the guard for adjusting airflow is positioned somewhat prevents you from having your coils directly aligned with the air holes, its sort of offset. It is very nice though. Not for out and about for me, it leaks real bad, at least the way I build it.

I have a modified Trident for my Reo Grand and it's a beast, not much adjustment for dual coil builds though, just the one option. I also have a Caterpillar RDA which is soso, gets a lot of juice in the air flow adjustment, but the airflow adjustment is very good. I'm in the market for a Stillare at the moment, but other than that I'm good for RDAs.

Given that my Trident runs on my Reo, it's by far my favorite and works excellent. I have a .45 dual macrocoil with 26 gauge and it's giving me a nice cool vape with giant clouds and decent flavor

I'm looking for a new rda myself. Not concerned with clouds. Am concerned about flavor. Single coil 1.2 ohmish. Adjustable airflow. Mouth to lung pulls. Looks sexy. I've seen one that was brass looking and ss, but don't know what it was. Any recommendations?

Smaller chamber seems to be best flavor.

Bud, go get a quasar Clone from eBay for 7 dollars right this second! It's the best flavor in a dripper that I've had.... fcukin' mail man won't let me try out my magma till tomorrow or I'd give you that comparison but the quasar Clone even is great, better than my origen v2, Helios, and everything else except for my igo-l with a super reduced cap that I made myself for my bottom feeder. It's 22mm Od so it looks great and is like 19mm or whatever a igo is, smaller deck. I also milled wells into the deck for perfect juice distribution. But back to the point, quasar Clone, eBay 7 bucks, go!

I agree, the Vulcan is great for flavor! With the price around $60 for an original with extra parts, you can't go wrong. About the build, is there any particular reason you put the top of your wraps on the outside posts? Just curious because the center post hole is higher and seems a little easier. Otherwise its a good build. A little hot for my taste (ohming out at around 1.6 or 1.7 on a 1/8" drill bit), but still good.

I got a tobh 1:1 clone frol FT, was really nice, until I dropped it, and didn't see that the insulator wasn't in place anymore, it melted afterwards.. I am currently waiting on a plumeveil clone, and I'm looking for a zenith v2. I also tried the veritas and it is awesome! These atties are the best ones out there IMO

My first and only (so far) RDA is a Tugboat. Has a deep well, 3 posts, and the holes in the post are above the top of the well slightly for easy access. I wish it had adjustable airflow, but I may just drill the holes out a little bit. It is quite a whistler.

I own the trident (v1) RDA which gave me a great experience and introduction to RDA as it was my first one.
I really don't have anything to compare it to when it comes to RDAs but it sure delivers great flavor and vapor. It's suitable for both single and dual coils or even more than that. Adjustable airholes.

But if I were going to get another trident I would go with the v2.

Trident v1 was an excellent intro to RDAs. Decent performer, easy to build, and a couple of build options to play with. That said, it's not near as good as some of the other top performers. My tobh and 454 get used daily, my trident has just been sitting on the vape table, untouched for the last month.
