Great essay. This quote in particular really resonated with me:

"No wonder vapers are such a cynical bunch. After years of being social pariahs as smokers, they finally give up smoking only to be told they didn’t do it the right way. It’s not really quitting. Their vaporizers look stupid and are annoying. They are just an anecdote and there’s no evidence anyone is giving up cigarettes. All of the people who had been pressuring them to quit smoking still weren’t happy."

Health nuts are really irritating. For years they are trying to convince me that alcohol is bad for my body. Really nuts… If only they knew that for years I have tested their assumption and found out it is ridiculously wrong. Relatively recently by observation of vapers they come to conclusion that human body not only inhale air, but also exhale its modified version. Health nuts were devastated. Even they understand they cannot prohibit breathing; but then why not to prohibit its visible demonstration? What I am worried about is that health nuts could learn someday that air of public places is full not only of exhaled air, but of skin shavings, stomach gases, .... gases and even hair (you know, some blonds have really thin hair). Would they demand to wear in public chefs hats, gas masks and .... plugs? Or will they make wearing of space suites mandatory outside homes?

Reconsidering Electronic Cigarettes- A Story

(may be useful to share with non-vaping friends)

I posted on FB. 2 1/2 years ago when I quit smoking after of more than 40 years of unsuccessful "approved" methods, I posted how elated I was of finally being free of cigarettes. A few smoking friends sent me private messages and there were a couple who were not sure about ecigs. This is why I post any science that comes out and also commentaries such as yours.

A cousin of mine the other day posted that she was glad I had quit but I was still poisoning my body with nicotine. I quickly responded to her comment with some of the science regarding nicotine and she didn't respond back. I don't lose sleep over it, she needs to blame smoking/nicotine for her husband having an early death. Some people need to cling to the notion that "how can God allow my husband to die early, so it must be the evil cigarette that did it" instead of what I say "Life happens!"
