I am a recovering addict been clean going on six years. And i feel that these ecigs kinda remind me of my old life in some sort of way which makes me a little uncomfortabel. Can anybody else relate to this and tell me how you pushed threw it.
This probably sounds crazy to most and i know I dontthink i can get loaded off of this but just makes me feel a little weird. Any advice apreciated becaus i really want this to work out for me. I want to be analog free at some point.

Eleven years, and at first it made me uncomfortable, because I had all kinds of paraphernalia: little dropper bottles, syringe (!), all kinds of little tools for refilling, filler (cottons), all kinds of things reminded me of my old life.

So I switched over to the Nhaler KR808D-1.

Trouble free and gone is all the gear in little boxes...

:)

Hope this helps...

This sounds like a good alternative. :D

Good Luck w/ your decision SNM... Stay w/ the board here... Not only is it a good source of information and blowing off steam... It is good support... Take it one day at a time...
My addiction is cigarettes, I wouldn't know what you have gone through and won't pretend to, but mine is very real, I still haven't totally left analogs alone- I have cut down a great deal though...
One day at a time and get past the small hurdles first... & stay w/ the boards here... This is a great place!

Hey SNM,

I'm glad to see your post. I'm a recovering alcoholic, clean for 6 months. I also can't claim to relate to the specific substance you're alluding to, but something about vaping is kind of tickling that part of my brain that wants a drink. It's the strangest thing.

I'm pretty involved with a 12 step program right now, and through it, I've come to realize that I'm prone to 'future tripping'. I tend to go on flights of fancy, with major delusions of grandeur. I catch myself thinking that this miracle device is going to make everything in my life peachy, and then get depressed when I experience the slightest discomfort. I find myself fantasizing about turning all my smoking friends on to vaping, being a bigshot on this forum, basically being a big hero. But dude, I've only been vaping for a week, and haven't yet gone even a whole day without an analog.

I doubt it's very helpful for you, but I just wanted to chime in and let you know that you are certainly not the only addict here.
